Can't write a review since the item has been traveling the USPS circus since April 19th (it is now May 3rd) and has not made an appearance on my doorstep. If you order from Amazon, pay the extra to have it sent via FedEx or UPS.I do have one of these Lock-It straps and have had success with it preventing my bass from falling off the strap, which is why I purchased two more. The straps are awesome! Our United States Postal Service, not so great. Three stars only because the delivery has been horrible!

Works great But I ordered a blue guitar strap. The picture was of a medium blue color. What I got was a light or baby blue strap. I will use it but everyone should know that you might not get what is advertised in the picture.

I have been playing for 55 years and own dozens of guitar straps. Nothing is more maddening than when a guitar “drops” on to the stage or floor-especially if the guitar is vintage and very valuable. I hate having to modify my guitars, or drilling holes for bigger pegs or knobs. This design is brilliant. Easy to switch between different guitars and this strap easily fits into the guitar case while still attached to the instrument. I have several of these and plan to purchase more.

Love this strap. The sliding lock button ensures it will not come loose. It easily fits the strap buttons on my guitar and the larger buttons on my bass. Better than the Dunlop button locks I previously used. GREAT IDEA!

I own 3 of these, and I use them on all of my live gigging guitars. This is really the best strap lock system. No fuss at all. I'm going to buy a couple more of them and replace my "high end" strap-lock systems that I had to modify my guitars to use. Nothing to modify here. The product just works.

I honestly didn't think much about this strap when I first saw it. Thank God for all of the positive reviews or I would have just dismissed it as a gimmick. It isn't. It's the real deal.I buy and sell guitars often. They come to me in disarray and I get them back in working order. But sometimes I want to strap it on an jam on it for a few minutes. Most guitars, not a concern. Les Pauls? Well, most of us who like to hang guitars around our waist know that Les Paul's hate straps. As such, all of my keeper Les Pauls have strap locks installed. But when I have a guitar I'm turning around, I don't want to invest in more straplocks for a player who might not like that brand. So I typically keep the stock strap buttons on.Enter the Lock It strap. This thing is the be-all, end-all solution for strap locking. It really holds in place on stock strap buttons, no issues. I have about 30 straps in the house, all varying in price between $5 to $80. This little $12 wonder has become my favorite. Not only is it painfully affordable, but perfectly functional. I honestly don't think I'll ever pay for more strap locks again knowing Lock It exists. It holds Les Pauls with stock strap buttons wonderfully without issue or incident. Especially when I feel like making a Slash pose playing a solo, causing that upper strap to flex at a 90º angle.Well done Lock It. This might just be the perfect guitar strap.

I like that there is no modding the guitar in any way to get a secure fit.Would like one day to purchase an all leather lockit strap if they ever become available here.

I bought this strap for a purple guitar that I have on pre-order, but for the last week I've been using it on my other guitar to test it out. In this week I've got mostly all Pros, and a two subjective cons. Let's get into it.To start, this is an attractive strap. The Purple checks are dark, and next to the black checks, it really looks nice. The threads, however are a smooth silky kind, so if you've got a neck heavy guitar, I don't believe this strap will do much to hinder neck dive should you be a gigging player, jumping around a stage. Some people complained about the strap scratching their necks, I didn't experience this, even while playing shirtless. Overall, I like the strap, I think it will serve me well and look great on my new guitar once it's delivered. Last but not least, the locking system, it seems to be quite tough, I've jumped with my guitar on and tugged on it, and it held great. I think it'll last a good while! The one thing that my be a con for some folks is, This is not a quick release system like you get with regular strap locks. This strap goes on like any other strap, but has a spring loaded plastic slider that goes behind the head of strap pin. So if you're looking for something you quickly switch between guitars on stage, this may not be for you.

This strap worked well beyond my expectations! I was playing bass with my band ("Common Sense" totally on Facebook with my shameless advertisement) and we started jumping up and down; so luckily the strap did not seem to show any sign of giving out. Later that I was once more playing my bass (which I'll add costs a fine amount of money, at least two human souls, a bucket of kidneys, and maybe a barrel of legs) when I was suddenly approached by a hooded stranger threatening me and demanding I hand him over my valuables; being the audacious man I am, instantly tapped into my sympathetic nervous system and prepared to defend myself. I started my defence by taking a mighty swing at him with my bass which caused him to fall onto the ground; realising his error he began to run knocking a poor women off a side of a bridge; I wasn’t going to have any of that so I first let out a righteous strum on my instrument which caused the offended to fall to the ground motionless from such sheer power, I then went to look over the side of the bridge and noticed the victim holding on to the edge. I was unfortunately unable to reach the women on the side of the bridge with my arm, but then I remembered the strong nylon strap accented with polymer patented locking mechanisms and leather coverings at my side, still strongly holding my bass; I swung my bass strap down for her to grab and managed to fish her up to the top of the bridge safely. The strap maintained its form and functionality, not once did it fail. I would recommend this to any guitarist looking for a nice strap that will keep their instrument safe from the unforgiving forces of gravity.
