“Hey Looi” sensor is not sensitive enough for kids, reply is slow for kids without patience. ChatGPT app conversation is much better.

It is a fun little toy. It does not do much and for the price seems rather overpriced. Not much value for the money. Not terribly interactive. Instructions not much help.

I've never owned any of those 'pet' toys, rc toys or robots. I saw this and was intrigued. I wondered if it would really hold conversations with me. If it would be an electronic 'dear diary' of sorts.Looi works using an app which you download onto your phone. As far as I can tell, this only works with an iPhone for now. You then attach your phone to the base of Looi and it becomes Looi's face. If your phone does not have the magnetic charging circle, one is supplied in the package to attach to your phone. Once charged, app downloaded and everything turned on, the robot basically walks you through it. All in all its pretty intuitive. Looi has sensors so he can roll around your desk, table or whatever surface upon which he has been placed and won't roll off. He also detects obstacles on the surface and avoids them. He tells you his story, offers to play games and listens to you talk, remembering what you tell him for future interaction. The pluses:Very solidly builtgreat designconversational and has a back story it reveals 'organically'has gamesdoesn't fall off deskoverall fun to interact withNeeds improvement:ties up your phoneonly three gamesOverall, I enjoyed playing with Looi. I wish it didn't tie up my phone. I have an older iPhone I am considering attempting to dedicate to Looi but since its an older model (I use an iphone 15) I'm not sure how well it will perform. I'm also guessing I'll have to start from scratch with the app if I do this but this is yet to be seen. Its an expensive toy for what it does, but if you're really into tech and like having these type of gadgets, I don't think the price is outrageous. It certainly would make for a great conversation piece on your desk at work especially if you work in the tech industry. I'm hoping that the manufacturer will continue to upgrade Looi through its app and thus make it a lasting value for those who take the leap and make the purchase.

Great desktop robot. AI is phenomenal. It actually communicates with you. Games are fun to play too . Controlling games by head gestures is a great idea and works pretty well. There are only two games and remote control feature wish there were more games . Having a conversation with LOOI is very fun and interesting He stays on table pretty well as long as there is sufficient light . So don’t leave him unattended and they tell you that in the manual. It’s not really a robot for young kids mostly teens and adults

It is cute and all, but it is limited to what it can do. Sure you can ask it questions, but it is more for kids than a AI info. product. It will do its own thing on your desk and for some reason, it backs up with X eyes and moves stuff on the desk. I have to keep grabbing it to place it else where. When you ask it questions, the response time is like 8 seconds. Looi will ask you a question, but the option to answer is not there. Why ask me a question if it wont listen or answer? This is just a very expensive toy that just charges your phone and moves around. They need to update it to be a regular AI like "Alexa". Very limited. Not worth the 200 bucks.
