Using this to clean my brushes, I found the spring keeps the bristles of a brush from being bent. The design is very helpful, a blade inside of "bucket" helps scrape off excess paint 🎨, an artist's dream to use!Very good quality and design.

I have been using a variety of containers to rinse and wash my watercolor brushes. I ordered this and am pleased with the volume of water it holds and the how the used paint residue stays at the bottom of the can.

Someone else experienced wobbling of the container because it does not sit flat. It was a problem for me as well. So I just turned the container upside down on a hard surface, and used a hammer to gently depress the center that was causing the problem. You will probably have to do this in stages to prevent overdoing it. Work an area of about one and a half inches in the center. You will have then corrected the slight malformation that causes the problem. Sits perfectly flat after that.

The tank is well-finished stainless steel. The spring will hold several brushes and won't force the bristles to bend. It's a two-piece tank, that will allow changing the solvent while the brushes stay in the upper half.

The idea is good as far as how it works, but the implementation could have been better. Again, it doesn't sit flat...maybe if I put something heavy in the bottom it would help. Also, since brush cleaner type products evaporate over time, it would be good if it had a tight fitting lid that could be put on once the strainer is removed. I found a plastic one from my kitchen that fits somewhat, but the handle on the item keeps it from closing tightly.
