  • The plant watering device is made of clay. The clay watering nail will automatically release water. The thinner the tip, the faster the drainage speed.
  • First, dig a hole in the soil. Secondly, gently insert the watering pile into the soil. Fill the bottle or wine bottle with water, connect the bottle with a waterer and turn it upside down. Insert the 7/8 part waterer into the soil to ensure a better release effect. The more piles in the soil, the more water the soil can absorb.
  • Economical choice of 10 plant watering piles. The package includes 10 watering devices, one nail measures 6.3 inches long and one nail weighs 3.52 ounces.
  • Note: For heavier bottles, you need to insert almost the entire stake into the soil to prevent the stake from breaking. You have any questions about automatic watering piles. You can contact our customer support. We are dedicated to provide you with the most satisfying shopping experience. Don't hesitate to buy automatic plant watering piles here!
  • Slow-release watering piles are for vacation use. There is no standard release time for spikes. Usually 1 liter of water can be watered for about 7-10 days. The release rate of plant watering depends on the size of the pot, soil composition, plant needs and climate. It is designed to prevent excessive watering and to ensure that people water when they go on vacation. Please test the release speed of the plant watering device before going out to protect the life of the plants.

These are very awkward to use. They’re too chunky for a lot of containers. Even having thicker sidewalls than other brands I’ve purchased, I still managed to break on trying to get in into the soil. You’ll need long neck bottles for these. Regular, thin-walled water bottles will not stay in place with these..

With how dry it gets here in Colorado, I appreciate having these on hand to support the watering needs of my plants, as well as for when I head out for a trip. Because of how large they are, they'll be most appropriate for larger pots, or if you have a really thirsty plant that you can fit them in with. The packaging, however, is misleading. I'm not sure why they sent them in a package that leads one to believe you're getting pots instead. Additionally, be careful when you first take them out. The way they were inserted into the package, I would've pulled them out only to drop them since they were facing down.

Got these because I was going out of town. Seems to have done their job of keeping my plants alive. Used green wine bottles and seems like they last about one week.

They are very thin and fragile

These are solid and work perfectly, a little larger than anticipate but I'm impressed with how well they work. Using wine bottles and the flow/seep rate seems about just right to water a pot for a week or more.Perhaps the only concern is that plants more than 5 inches from it might not get enough water? But overall I am very pleased with these.

These are great for my outdoor planters. No lids to lift off before you can fill, although that means the water will evaporated faster so they'll need to be refilled more often. The walls are about a quarter inch thick, which will help prevent accidental breakage from handling. They are clay of course so yes they are likely to break if you drop them on concrete, but what I'm saying is you don't have to be dainty with them. They come in well protected packaging and a very nice box, too, but I did get a chuckle out of the box because it advertised clay pots, not the clay waterers that are inside. At first I was thinking to myself geez you must be getting old, you can't remember what you've ordered anymore! (I took a picture for you.) Then when I opened it I felt much better...

If I only look at how the product works, this would be five stars. Follow the directions of soaking the spikes and using something else to pre-make (more or less) the hole that it will go in are both key to having them work well. The former helps ensure a good water exchange at a reasonable rate. The latter keeps you from breaking them as you push them into the soil (which can be surprisingly compact if it older soil that has had a chance to settle). The terracotta spike has thick enough walls to withstand some pressing force but not enough to reliably use to create it's own hole. Once in place, you can either just top them up or use them in conjunction with any bottles with a neck that fits. I've used medium sizes cider & beer bottles, full size wine bottles, magnum wine bottles, and liquor bottles. I haven't tried any plastic bottles as I don't have any around, but I could see the smaller ones with a longer neck working great. The liter bottles might work if they had the right shape (one with a long enough neck that they are secure in the spike. They have been wonderful upgrades from just flipping wine bottles into my planters and pots (which I've done on and off for years), but this is so much more consistent and easy! My fiddle leaf fig is loving the more consistent moisture levels in the soil. Such huge leaves now! However, the reason this is only four stars is that it took me a combo of two orders (original and one replacement/return) to get one unbroken set. My first order was sent just in the packaging box with the foam insert holding the spikes in place. This was fine for four out of five spikes, but the one on the end was broken, so I went through the refund/replacement process and got a new set sent out. This one came about week or two later in an amazon box in the normal packaging box and foam insert with another item in its normal packaging. This was only fine for two of the five spikes. Thankfully I had the foresight to hold on to the first box until the second box arrived in case any spikes in the replacement set were broken. This allowed me to take one of the two non-broken ones from the replacement order and swap it out with the one broken one from the first order and then send back the set of one unbroken and four broken spikes. I considered marking this as three stars (or less depending on how much back and forth it would have taken) since if I hadn't keep the original set until the replacement arrived, I'd have do to the refund/replacement process yet again. However I decided to leave it at four stars because I try not to dock more than one star off a product just due to shipping issues unless those issues are not dealt with in an easy and relatively prompt fashion, which is not the case with this.

Saw these at a friend’s and purchased a fifteen pack ( good deal) for my wife’s plants. Works great at slowly watering plants and young trees. Just add a wine or beer bottle full of water.
