Everything you need to create some interesting Maps. I am using this particular map stamper to create a map that will be incorporated into a fantasy book that I am writing. I intend to have the actual maps reproduced on parchment and added to the book in the back. If you are looking for a creative tool to use to include something that you kids will love. Then this map making stamper is just the think. It is noted that the stamper does not include an ink pad which must be purchased separately. This can easily be obtained. I give this Map Making kit a solid 5 stars. The wooden block stampers are of high quality and are sure to give many years of use. (Novel Useful Idea! Great Buy)

This little stamp set is absolutely adorable! I have been getting into fantasy maps lately and these are the perfect accompaniment to a book I recently got. I ordered some handmade paper and some distressed stamp pads. You only need tiny stamp pads because the stamps are very small. They work great! If you want to avoid the outline of the stamp transferring onto the paper, just make sure you wipe it off before you stamp. Now I just wish they would come out with another set that has little waves, houses, little rocks, and mushrooms. I am going to have lots of fun with this!

I absolutely love this kit! The Lord of Maps Fantasy Map-Making Stamp Kit is such a fun and creative idea for bringing your own fantasy worlds to life.I plan to use these stamps to create custom maps for each of the creatures I make, showing where they come from. It adds such a unique storytelling element to my work. I ordered this set of Lord Of Maps Fantasy Map-Making Stamp Kit – 16-Piece Rubber Stamp Set for TTRPG, World Building, Battle Maps, Journaling, Arts & Crafts - Mountains, Hills, Volcano, Lake, Compass Rose map making stamps for my husband, who’s an artist with a great love of fantasy literature. My initial thought was that these would be a cute novelty gift to pop in my husband’s Easter basket. (yep, we still do Easter baskets, even at our advanced age. Our son is now a teenager, but hey, tradition, right? And who doesn’t love a tradition with small presents and lots of candy?) When the set of stamps arrived, I was very impressed with the attractive themed packaging. When I took a look at the stamp images, I was even more impressed. We like maps. When my son was tiny, he adored children’s books with maps; the more complex, the better. We live in NYC; my son had memorized the whole subway map well before kindergarten. My husband and I introduced our son to the old maps with Here There Be Dragons and the winds blowing ships to their glorious adventures/eventual doom; we’re big fans of compass roses and old school map styling, so this gorgeous set of map making stamps hit us in the sweet spot.I love the unique compass rose stamp, and the mountains range designs that look lifted from Tolkien of (fill in your favorite fantasy series here.) I write fairy tale fantasy series under different pen names; my husband has created a number of maps for frontispieces of my books, and I know he’s going to have a lot of fun with this kit. This set has sixteen small wooden blocks with rubber stamps fixed to the ends. They can be used on any standard ink pad. The stamps range in size from 2” square to 1/4” square, and come in both rectangular and square shapes. The sixteen stamps fit neatly into a small square box measuring about 4 1/2” x 5” and made of brown pasteboard; the box is nicely themed with images from the stamps and fantasy themed fonts. The top of the box says (amongst other things) Lord of Maps for making the world’s finest maps. I was thrilled to discover Lord of Maps; this is just one of a number of lovely products. This stamp set is ideal for role playing gamers, fantasy enthusiasts, writers, map makers, and anyone else who loves the magic of mapping new worlds, imagined or real. Our family enjoys complex treasure hunts on birthdays and holidays; this set of stamps is going to up our game. We’ll have much better maps now!At the current price ($29.99) I think this is an incredible bargain. The boutique craft store in our neighborhood sells single stamps at this price point and higher; you get sixteen stamps with a Middle Earth feel in various sizes in one nicely packaged kit.I know my husband and son will have a lot of fun with this set; I’m looking forward to trying them out, too. This could make a lovely present, or could be a part of a fantasy themed gift basket. Easy enough for kids to use; the images are sophisticated for adults, too.

The set came with all of the pictured forms, no duplicates or misses. The rubber pads are cleanly shaped with neat edges/dots and I don't see any significant differences between the top images and the stamped designs. Most of the rubber pads matched orientation of the top image, but one of the mountain ranges had the top image and bottom rubber upside-down compared to each other. I was able to carefully peel off and reapply the rubber pad to match the image though. This set alone won't make a complete map and even a bigger set wouldn't replace the personal creativity involved in map making, but this certainly helps with a couple of the more repetitive parts of map drafting.

I've followed Isaac (aka Lord of Maps) for a long time and, like many of his fans, was so excited when these came out. This set doesn't disappoint! This is a small set measuring approximately 4.5x5-inches, but the size of the stamps are great for journals or could be used to create larger images. The assortment of images to play with is wonderful and they're all nicely in scale with each other. The stamps are easy to handle and produce crisp images. The only thing is that would make these a little easier to use is if they were clear, cling stamps like photopolymer. The stamps themselves aren't all the same size as the image printed in the wood block, so it's a little hard to determine where to place these when stamping, especially when you're building a scene. The packaging and stamps are all high quality and would make a fun gift. Isaac has mentioned the possibility of adding expansion packs to this set, and if he does, I'll be the first in line!
