I DO NOT RECOMMEND, unless you're a gambler at heart.I needed another file cabinet in my office and found this after a brief search. The price was reasonable, so I purchased the cabinet. When it arrived, it looked like the box had been dragged behind the truck from the warehouse to my door. Upon opening the box, I discovered the damage pictured and initiated a return to exchange for the same item. When the replacement cabinet arrived, the box was in better shape than the first one was, but still had visible damage. Upon opening this box and removing the cabinet from the cardboard, I discovered dents and creases to the bottom of the cabinet and the bottom three drawers' slider rail was dislodged on one side. I removed the drawers and re-attached the rail to the inside of the cabinet, only to discover the opposite side of the cabinet had enough of a bow in it, from top to bottom, that the drawers kept jumping off the rail on that side. The lock would not work, due to the damage. Returned the second cabinet for a full refund.These cabinets are not packaged well enough to withstand the abuse they get in transit, with the abuse being a byproduct of the bulky nature of the package. If the packing material was reinforced with a thin strip of wood, they may stand a better chance at arriving to their destination undamaged.

In many ways this would be a four or five star review. But in one way it deserves a raging zero star review. I purchased one and it came in with a little ding but overall I was satisfied as the construction was a good value versus the cost. I needed two and ordered a second one. The keys ship inside the cabinet and the lock must have jiggled in transit. There was no way to open the cabinet. I contacted the seller who replied after 48 hours with a message that they would contact the manufacturer. After a week went by there was no key and no contact. I was able to search out a company that sells replacement keys if you provide the lock number. Not sure if this is a great way to securely store important files, but they sent the keys overnight. Another week went by and the seller reached out to ask if I received the keys from the manufacturer which I had not. I would think that almost everyone who buys a filing cabinet would have immediate need for it's use. If you do you should look elsewhere as it is apparent they are not going to send replacement keys which probably cost them 20 cents each.

Order arrived on time, in great condition, was easy to move into place and am happily using it. Love that it locks all drawers from the one key. Very happy customer and would recommend this product.

I reorganized my home office after construction and wanted just one tall filing cabinet for everything instead of three short ones taking up needed space. It's solid, very roomy with more storage than I need and it fits with my decor. Glad I made the purchase. However, I had to remove a star because the delivery service used to ship it was a complete nightmare. Three times the delivery was supposed to take place and three times the driver pulled a no show-no call on me. When I complained to the office dispatch, she had no answers and no apologies for my inconvenience. When the driver finally decided to grace me with his presence, it was one tiny man who struggled by himself with the handtruck; I had to help him into the house with it just to get it over with.I refused to sign off that it was in good condition sight unseen, based on all of the reviews saying the item came damaged. Then, of course, the bottom drawer was damaged. It was stuck closed, so I jiggled it open and banged the into place so it would open on its own. Now, it opens, but I have to hold the drawer and button a particular way so it opens without a catch. (Remembering this, I should really have given this review 3 stars!)Despite all of that, it's a good filing cabinet and I'm glad I purchased it.

If you're looking for lockable storage, that doesn't need to be impenetrable, will not be displayed prominently, and will not necessarily be opened and closed excessively - this unit will certainly do the job. That is exactly what I wanted, and the price was fair for what it is. Be cautious, though. The packaging was nonexistent. We ordered several and they arrived shrinkwrapped on a pallet, with no padding or protection. There were several dings, dents, and scrapes, but nothing that affected the usage, or looked too bad. We kept them, since they are only being used for locked storage, in a locked storage room, in a locked office.

The truth to the matter is that is the first filing cabinet that I had received came without any dents, then everything would have been fine.however, unfortunately, it came with dents and the company had to send me out another one, but that was okay, because the 2nd one hadno dents and was Perfect and now i am using it!thank youhoward paul shore
