Out of the box, the product looks good. The cameras are sturdy and mount well. The NVR looks decent but the vertical/wall mounting holes on the back are plugged with bolts which seems odd. I took the unit apart (separating top from bottom) I found that the hard drive inside seemed to be improperly mounted in the wrong holes. When I went to move the hard drive I noticed the designed holes for the hard drive actually were in the wrong spot so seemingly the factory used the wall mounting holes instead. In order to utilize the wall mounting holes I had to only use two screws to put the hard drive back in its original place and also remove one of the internal mounting points (connecting plastic top to metal base). I put it all back together and it hangs on the wall fine. I assume this unit was sold at a lower price because the manufacturer knew I’d this design flaw and needed to offload the stock. In any event, I will see how the overall u it functions over time and report back.

This is not disclosed at all in the Amazon presentation: This NVR only does 2 wireless cameras in addition to the 8 wired ones it comes with an NV843 Network Video Recorder.The newer and available elsewhere system (cheaper) does 8 wired + 8 wireless and has other new additions as well. (And the new one is available from the manufacturer considerably cheaper. I comes with an NV845 Network video recorder.

I like the cameras. Very expensive. Not choices for motion detections, report everything. I would like to choose reporting motion detections on 2, 3 cameras only recording all of them yes but reporting only humans movements.
