The Neo Protect 2 shoe covers are designed to keep your feet warm and protected so you can continue riding no matter what the weather has in store. The covers are made with 2 mm neoprene, a rubber-like material that provides insulation from the cold. The hook and loop fastener back opening extends above the ankles, making them easy to pull on while ensuring a good fit and complete protection.

I wear a 14 US shoe and between 48-50 cycling shoe, depending on brand. I have had an extremely difficult time finding an over shoe that will fit. I am pleased to report that the XXL fits both my road shoe (double boa dials) and my gravel shoe (two velcro straps and a buckle). The gravel shoe is a slight stretch, but the road shoe is a perfect fit.The overshoe is stretchy neoprene. I have had it on in temperatures down to 40*F and my feet were find (I am prone to cold feet, so they are certainly warm enough). I have not tested the shoe in wet conditions (nor do I plan to do so).Quality is hard to judge after only two rides, but so far so good. I have a lot of LG products and this seems on par with the typical brand quality.Big shoe wearers can buy the XXL with confidence!

Product not what was described. Expected a boot with a rubber sole and instead got an overshoe without the sole. Much less warm than what was promised.

Like the ease of putting them over running shoes. They are also great with clip-in bike shoes. I use them when the temperature dips below 45F and have found them helpful down to -20F. Without them, my feet start to turn into ice blocks after 15 minutes. Eventually they start breaking apart in the toe area, but I've gotten 1-2 winters usage out of each pair.

I like my Louis Garneau Neo Protect 3 Cycling Shoe Covers, but the product that I actually received looked different than the Amazon stock photo. The stock photo shows a rubber soul that you have to cut depending on the cleat & heel pattern of your cycling shoes, but I actually received a more minimal sole with neoprene/rubber. I use both off-road Shimano's & on-road Look cleats for my cycling shoes so these covers still work well enough. Recommended for those cold and wet rides!

I bought these to keep my feet warm mountain biking in the winter/fall NJ climate. I'm posting this review more to help anyone trying to find that right fit than anything else but yes, they kept my feet warmer. The photo I'm attaching is over a five ten freerider mtb shoe size US 11. I was able to get it on but it was very tight and a struggle in the size XL which I believe is the largest you can buy. I was between buying L and XL and I'm very glad I bought the XL because I doubt there's any way something smaller could fit over my shoe. I realize most cyclists using these over road shoes might find the fit just right but us using flat pedal mtb shoes I hope this is helpful. I was barely able to close the velcro as shown in the photo.

These work for me, I just used them for the first time. I biked for about an hour in temps of 38-42F and my feet were comfortable, not *very* warm, but comfortable the entire time. Compare that to my last ride, a few days ago in similar weather, when my feet were freezing the whole way. I really like that these block the wind completely. I was looking to extend my biking season by a couple of weeks and these will do that. My take is that if you put them on cold feet, you'll feel cold but if you put them on when warm, you'll be fine for a good ride.Sizing: I bought the XL and wear them over size 13 Asics track shoes (a very light and thin sneaker) and ride a bike with toe clips. These covers are just like scuba wetsuit boots, which makes them difficult to get on and off. In fact, the fit is so snug for me that I will not remove them until spring (I now use a shoehorn to get into my shoes). As others have noted, they are not waterproof. I was not expecting them to be but hadn't noticed that claim in the product description. Per the tag, they are a 2mm nylon/neoprene blend and I expect would absorb water like any wetsuit. For me, that is not a problem. I would only wear these in temps below 45F and if it starts raining too, I'm getting off the road.

I bought XL, wear 11.5 men's. It's definitely not too tight. They go on easily. When my foot contacts the ground, it's the cleat and the heel that are touching the ground, no areas of wear on the shoe covers. Seems like it can be a little tricky to get the velcro lined up perfectly straight when I am reattaching it, but honestly I don't care too much about that. I'm not too worried about a wrinkle. This is neoprene, the same stuff wetsuits are made out of. Wetsuits are designed to get wet, these will soak up water no doubt. But they have been very warm on rides in the 30s and 40s. Haven't attempted temps lower than that. Don't forget to plug up the vents on the bottom of your shoe (if you have them). I find a lot of cold air gets into the shoe that way.

These covers have been a disappointment. They are reasonably effective keeping out the cold, and they fit my shoes well, but I've had them for barely more than a month and already a significant portion of the edging for the sole opening has fallen away from the neoprene, on both feet. Also, a seam between sections of neoprene near the heel on one of them has begun to come loose and open up. I will be lucky if they last the winter, at this rate, and will definitely be looking for other shoe covers for next winter, if not before. The quality is really disappointing, particularly because I've been very happy with Louis Garneau products in the past.
