I have used various kinds of tungsten putty for nearly 20 years for Scout Pinewood Derby kits to help families adjust their cars to as close to 5 oz as possible. This putty is a fast and easy way to adjust the final weight of the car - some drilled holes in the bottom of the car put in prior to painting will allow adjustment of the car weight by adding the appropriate amount of weight - just keep the car on a accurate scale, add the tungsten putty to the scale until the correct weight is set, and then press the putty into the drill holes, tamp in well with a non-sharpened pencil or similar item to ensure the putty won't fall out during the race, and you are good to go.For reference, tungsten putty is generally viewed as safe and not deemed poisonous and is safe for adults and children to use. I use nitrile gloves if adding weight to multiple cars since the putty will stick in your fingerprint ridges at times. You should wash your hands after using it and keep it away from food.This putty performed well, if not better, than other tungsten putty I have used in the past. I have found it "dries" out and will crumble if left out, so keep it covered.
