This product is branded. Usually, gifts of this nature don't have a brand name, because it looks like part of the message. It says "Portho" on it and, unless your name is Portho, it reads as if you signed it "Portho". It looks strange. Everything else about this was nice, but the brand name ruins the presentation. The box was slightly off, not fully square on one corner, and had a bit of splintering. That said, it's still very pretty and it works as a compass.

Broken....... When my compass arrived the needle was rattling around unattached. They quickly sent me a replacement and I am happy with my order!

I really liked this compass. It was so sweet. It came in a very nice box.This is very attractive. I thought it was unique. It looked very pretty in the house. Someone may want to carry it with them. It would make a very nice gift for someone, as well.The quality was very good. It seemed to be very well made. It looked just like the picture. I would recommend it.

The compass is incredibly neat! It's very well made and weighty. It's a lovely gift for an older mother. The engraving is relatively easy to read and it has instructions how to use it per season on the inner lid. It feels great in hand and I feel that it would be cherished and displayed if I gave it to my mother. The flip up dial of the compass stays in place and doesn't jiggle around. It is actually surprisingly accurate when we were checking it out. The included wooden box is also well crafted and gives it an explorer type vibe. It is a very cool item.

First, this product took forever to open because it is so well packaged. The box itself and then the compass are pretty much at least double wrapped, so there should be no way for any scratches to be put on it during shipping. It is a lovely product and looks very well made. The wood is perfect with no deformities. The piece that locks it is very sturdy. The compass itself is made of a thick metal and the sundial folds up for use with instructions imprinted inside the lid. This makes a great gift for anyone who loves to go hiking or camping.

This is absolutely beautiful. The wooden box that holds the sundial is a beautiful grain and very sturdy. The sundial is beautiful as well. I think it is awesome.

Again a beautiful artistic piece of solid brass. Extremely well constructed wooden case. Notice all the detail of the inlaid brass into the construction of the case itself. Wonderful message of love. Truly recommend this well made timepiece. Made in India to me means beautifully married brass/steel and wood. The craftsmen who created this sundial are true artists, very nice seamless transition of wood to metal. Solid construction, nice weight. Beautiful finish.
