A YouTube video prompted me to purchase this as it fit with slight modification where you would drill into the plate going down into the shaft. When it arrived there was already a hole in that plate so it appears they made a change which is good. I thought it was maybe still too small since it didn’t fit all the way still. Ended up the clamp was too tight so I had to pry it open more with thick screwdrivers and it slid right on afterward. Worth saving 60$ on this part if you have just a little bit of knowledge and will. So far quality product made the steering in my 95 k1500 feel brand new again.

Garbage part unless you are mechanically inclined, spline end poor fit had too cut oem spline end off and use it on new shaft. Only way it would work, die grinder w/ carbide burr and cut off grinder made quick work but PITA.

The collar on the tube provides a positive stop which prevents the bolt from going through without drilling. The input shaft coupler is drilled too close to the center line requiring drilling or grinding the steering gear input shaft groove. I will have to use the coupler from the original and a one hour job is taking several. Would give zero stars if I could!

The hole for the spline bolt is not drilled correctly. I have beat on it and scratched it up. Now I am sure I can't return it. Piece of junk. Waste of money.

Installed this on a 1998 k1500 Chevy pickup. The top through bolt would not slide in, after some measuring I determined the metal bushing/ring was a little more than 1/16” closer to the hole than the original. A hammer and a deep socket that would barely fit over the shaft was able to move it down. After this the rest of the install went as expected and seems to be alright.
