Sure, there are diehard enthusiasts out there that order their F-body with a manual, but when you look at pure numbers most LS engine applications (Impala, GM truck, etc.) are either automatic only or have very low manual transmission production numbers. So, when it comes to the budget friendly LS swap everyone loves for their classic GM muscle car, truck, or hot rod, it is tough to find a complete swap source with a manual transmission behind it. Not to mention, a lot of the modern 6-speed manuals don’t fit the smaller transmission tunnels of classic cars and can have unique crossmember requirements

I used this for a tremec tkx swap in my 1971 C10 with a gen 1 350/383 chevy. I did need extra clearance for the Ram hydraulic throwout bearing and had to purchase a ICT bellhousing spacer and I also needed a extended pilot bearing.This bellhousing seems to be a quality product a little on the pricey side but I wanted something stronger than a aluminum bellhousing so this speedway motors bellhousing was the most cost effective solution I could find to work with my 168 tooth flywheel. The welds are not perfect in appearance but are not terrible either and look to be adequate for the price compared to QuickTime or Lakewood that are more expensive.The bolts that came with this bellhousing would not work with the gen 1 sbc. The bolts are for a ls block not the gen 1 sbc. So I could not use the bolts that came with this bellhousing for my application. But if I ever decide to do a swap in the future I can use this bellhousing and bolts.
