  • The various sensing elements are manufactured using specialized micromachining processes, while the IC interfaces are developed using CMOS technology that allows the design of a dedicated circuit which is trimmed to better match the characteristics of the sensing element.

LSM6DS3 will be an optimized system-in-package dual-chip solution, integrating high-performance 3-axis digital accelerometers and 3-axis digital gyroscopes to provide an energy-efficient working mode. In the always-on mode, the power consumption is as low as 0.6mA.LSM6DS3 will be able to effectively process real, virtual and batch mode sensor data, thus saving power and speeding up system response. In fact, the new product is designed to achieve effective action, inclination, pedometer function and Time Stamp through hardware, which can support software and hardware to correct external magnetometer data acquisition.

Great all-purpose sensor for adding IMU/motion sensing to a project.3-axes means you can track movement in 3D space, and the accelerometer also gives you a metric on force. The inclusion of hardware interrupts is useful for sleep/wake functions, as well as tap/fall detection.Easy-to-use 2.54mm pitch through-holes makes it easy to install this on a breadboard, arduino shield, or perfboard.Great way to learn about IMUs, or for building out your own DIY project.
