The unit has been used twice and now it won’t turn on…..even with new batteries. The screen is so dark that you can’t read it during the sunlight of the day and saw no way of adjusting it. I reached out to customer support and never got a response. Tried the unit on a second trip with the same results. Tried to power the unit once I got home and now it won’t come on at all. Changed the batteries and still nothing. Too late to send it back……so oh well. At least I didn’t have a lot of money invested in it.

Powerful, compact and very accurate fish finder, I am very pleased with the ease of use and versatility. On the initial trip out I took the opportunity to compare the depth and fish identification to an Hunminbird fish finder mounted to another boat and it was identical. Highly recommend this fish finder, we will definitely using it for ice fishing in winter.

My first time trying out a fish finder and this is not a bad way starter and budget device. I tested it out at my local pier and was able to get the temp and depth of the water quickly. It also detected some fish in an area I knew bait fish usually swim. I plan to use this on a boat when I head to the reservoir, which may help when trolling. Cant wait...

Was looking for an affordable fish finder to take on the canoe, kayak, and to use from shore in areas we are unfamiliar with. This one is simple, easy to use. Depth seem accurate but has a bit of trouble if the water is very cloudy (spring flood waters here are making areas unusually cloudy) I don't expect this will be a problem in a few weeks. I like that it shows if the bottom is rocky vs weedy. I do wish the chord did not sink as it pulls the floater with the finder back to the boat/shore. Adding a few floaters to the line as well would help this issue. Looking forward to using it with my kid as something to play with while we are fishing. Whether it will help us catch more fish is yet to be determined :)

This is a nice unit for the price. It wouldn't be ideal for a bank fisherman because it is wired. Works perfect for a kayak or John boat. Would recommend for the price.

This is a very good fish finder priced affordably. The temp and depth is accurate. I placed it next to my Raymarine and came pretty close. It comes with boat mounts but I am using it portably. I can move it to the front of the boat or to the side or rear. It comes with the floats. It's easy to see where the small or large fishes are according to depth. The screen is also pretty clear to see.

Works pretty good for the cost. Runs on its own batteries, which is convenient. Can be a little too sensitive as it picked up my lure as a fish. Overall not bad.

This fish finder is very good. I already have Garmin fish finder but this is more useful. I tested Lucky fish finder with my Garmin and it was very accurate than I thought. Especially, Lucky fish finder is very portable.Garmin should bring a heavy battery but Lucky uses 2 AAA batteries so it's easy to bring it.I tested it for my ice fishing and it works well. It displays the barometric pressure. I usually used my cellphone app for that. However, I don't need to use my cellphone anymore because the new Lucky fish finder has it. One thing I really like is it displays separately a big fish and small fish. It is a good feature. It is also waterproof to sprayed water so I will try to use this for my kayak this summer. If you want to find the best budget fish finder, I highly recommend this product.

Figured I would share my preliminary results of using the portable fish finder in saltwater conditions. The unit itself feels like a professional hand held device and has a solid feel. The wire connection that connects the sonar and the monitor has a quick disconnect, care needs to be taken here so that it does not disconnect during usage. However, I have not had that issue, even in rough jersey shore seas. The sonar device can be mounted on the boat hull, a fishing pole, or you can just use the included float. If you are using the float make sure that the wire does not sink to the bottom, this could snag it. In terms of corrosion resistance, the sonar is holding up pretty well so far, as well as the wire. In-water testing was also successful, unit picks up under water structures, and accurate depth. Schools of fish show up very well and it was really nice to see a functioning unit that was not $2500. The LCD display is easy to read and features a back light that can be turned off to save battery life. I would highly recommend this unit for people that are looking for a fish finder that doesn't break the bank.I would recommend this fish finder to anyone that is looking for a budget option and functionality. Works great for kayak or boat fishing in either fresh or saltwater.
