They shrunk up best when I used boiling water. I grabbed the end of the key with a pair of pliers and dipped them in the water for 10 seconds. I also cut a small portion off so they fit on the keys better. So far they are holding up.

Does not work. The wraps are too tall and covers the hole at the top and some of the teeth on the keys after shrinking. As the plastic cools, it works it's way down from the head toward the teeth of the key and then falls off.

These key bands are an excellent way to keep your keys labeled. Very easy instructions to follow. I was surprised to see people leaving negative reviews but can only assume they didn't follow the instructions on how to shrink band to fit the key. I boiled water in a bowl and slowly placed each key into the water using a kitchen tong. The bands stayed nice and tight.

These non expensive key sleeves are so easy to put on your keys. The colors are nice and bold. The pieces are thick and strong. Perfect fit for your keys. Now I don’t have to fumble through my keys trying to get my door open with my arms full of groceries. If I drop them I know exactly which key to use. Definitely a must have for anyone with several of keys.

Product was not worth the cost. Did not shrink to fit kwikset style keys. Edges curled and did not shrink to key leaving rough edge all around keys.

These sleeves do NOT fit irregular keys as advertised. They are too small and three of the four broke as I tried to gently expand them to fit. The one I finally got around a key never did conform to the shape, so I had to cut it off and go with a different product entirely.

I looked at other reviews and knew I would need to figure out the best way to use these and it has worked perfectly and exactly the way I wanted. I made sure the band was sitting exactly where and how I wanted on the keys. I had a small pot of water boiling and a tool ( I used needle nose pliers) to use to put the key with the band in the water and take it out. I let each key sit in the boiling water the amount of seconds needed to shrink the band. It didn’t take long , 5-10 seconds. They are perfect!! Exactly what I wanted. I did have to use the pliers on a few larger keys to get the band to sit in the right place before putting them in the water. Be sure to let them cool after being in the boiling water.

The concept for these is rather neat, but it's rather tricky to get them situated on the keys before applying heat. I recommend the microwave boiling method versus a hair-dryer, (I tried both ways) but either way you will need to find a way to clip them on (I used a small binder clip eventho it left a crease line) before submerging in the water. Use silicone tongs to get it back out and don't burn yourself! (I did no matter what at least twice.)
