About this item

  • FITS ROD DIAMETER: Compatible with rod butts ranging from 7/8" to 1 3/16", making it the perfect fit for lightweight and fly fishing rods.
  • MAXIMUM COMFORT & INJURY PREVENTION: Engineered for ultralight and fly fishing setups, the Elite Pro 2 Cush-It eliminates the discomfort of rod butt bruises by providing premium cushioning against your body. Whether you're fishing from the bank, kayak, or wading in a stream, this compact protector ensures a pain-free experience so you can focus on the catch, not the strain.
  • ULTRALIGHT & COMPACT DESIGN: Built with the mobile angler in mind, this model is the smallest and lightest Cush-It available. Its pocket-sized form factor makes it ideal for fly fishermen, backpackers, and minimalist anglers targeting trout, panfish, and other small species. Despite its size, it offers excellent protection without weighing you down.
  • KEEPS YOUR ROD FLOATING: Protect your gear and your investment. If your rod slips into the water, the Elite Pro 2 adds buoyancy to keep it afloat, preventing accidental loss. Perfect for kayak fishing, wading, or fishing from docks and boats, it gives you peace of mind and safeguards your lightweight rods.
  • ENHANCES CONTROL & ROD SENSITIVITY: Get a better feel for your rod with every cast and hook set. The foam design absorbs shock while transmitting subtle vibrations, improving sensitivity. Detect light bites with ease and land more fish thanks to enhanced feedback and reduced fatigue during long fishing sessions.
  • BUILT FOR ULTRALIGHT PERFORMANCE: Tailored for 2–8 lb, 4–10 lb, and 6–12 lb rods, this Cush-It is optimized for micro and finesse setups. Whether you're stalking trout in clear streams or casting in small ponds, its durable high-density foam withstands the elements and provides long-lasting support season after season.

These are a joke, they do not work. I lost my favorite combo off my kayak. Sunk immediately!

The material used is fine, the sizes offered is questionable. I ordered The "Elite" size without knowing, I was ordering the "Elite" which is the smallest size available. I own app 75 fishing rods. The cushion will fit the rod butts of my 6', 6'6 and a couple of my 7' rods. Who needs a butt cushion for a 6' rod with 6, 8 or 10lb mono? The prices are a little less than the "Big game" size butt cushion that I needed but in my opinion...at least for me... this size is useless and it's app. $40 down the drain. Be careful what size you're buying.

These bad boys go on my crappie rods in my kayak. They are slim enough to go in my rod holders and float my 10ft and my 7 foot accs with no issues. I really like the fact that they aren't in the way of my line when I reel. They also help me feel the thump when I'm jig fishing.

This rod butt cover floats a rod and reel weighing up to 15 ounces ( I don't know how much more weight it would float). If you've ever lost a rod in a lake, you understand how comforting it is to know that a rod reel combination costing hundreds of dollars, won't be gone if it goes overboard. It only adds approximately 1/3 oz, which isn't bad. It also cushions the butt of the rod - It's nice not to be sore around the lower torso from the rod butt after a full day of fishing. It's rather expensive, but considering my rod/reel investment it's well worth the price. I should also mention that having used the larger-sized Luna foam rod butt for a few years, the material is durable and should last a good long time.

Tossed the elite pro in the water from the bank to test floatation prior to trusting my expensive combos to them. Didn't float at all. Expected to at least see the butt of the rod below the surface and couldn't see anything. Put it on a 7 foot medium heavy rod with a standard casting reel on it. Will test again from my kayak later to see if I can see the rod from the surface. Had high hopes as the elite pro is skinny and still allows the rod to fit in a rod tube holder.

I have 18 of these. I fish from a kayak and these work well to keep me from losing a rod if I flip or just knock one from the yak. Also they are slender enough to be able to fit in my rod tubes on my kayak crate

It’s dumb looking and it’s big and not tight for my baitcaster rod. Save your money and just deal with what you got
