Yes, you actually have to push, twist and maybe complain, and some wouldn’t go on at all because the rust had built up at the tip. But I got about three-quarters of them covered, and I bought some liquid to paint the rest of the tips. Now it all looks clean and safe to use, and my great-running dishwasher is my friend again.

If you're using this on your narrow vertical prongs this should work fine without modification. You may still have to stretch the inside or heat it up. Read some of the reviews for tips. If you're putting it over one of the thicker pieces you'll want stretch the interior diameter with an ice pick or something similar. You'll also need to cut the size down to about an inch or you'll never be able to work it over the piece you want to cover. I needed to cover larger rusted end pieces so I cut it down. Works just fine and still on after a month's use.

Worked great - just be sure to soak those in hot water first, for about 2-3 minutes. Then immediately put those on, they will cool down and solidify the grip. If you try to put them on without soaking in hot water, they won't slide on. That's just Physics 101.

Used these to cover exposed wire in dishwasher rack. Was a great replacement since paint didn't work and now no more rust.

These work well, but there aren't any instructions in the package. If you try to put them on your rack at room temp, it won't work. They're pretty rigid and won't stretch around the ends. The quickest and easiest way to get these on:1: Boil about a cup or two of water, remove from heat2: Drop in the amount of caps needed for the job into the boiling hot water3: Stir around the caps a bit, and leave them in the hot water for a few minutes4: Fish out the cap (I used a spoon)5: Carefully squeeze the cap to remove excess water6: Still pinching the cap to keep out air and the water, place the opening on the rack tip, and slide it down. Sometimes it goes down really easily this way, but if it doesn't you can push or twist it until it does.This process worked well for me and I did my entire dishwasher in under 10 minutes. You shouldn't need any silicone grease or any other products to get these on. Once they cool back to normal temps, they're in place and shouldn't move, even in the hot water from the wash cycle (it doesn't reach boiling).

The internal diameter of these things is very small, so they are hard to install. I tried putting water then mineral oil in the hole but I gave up.

The rating asked about sheerness and I’m not sure that is relevant for this product. That said - the capa worked as expected on an older dishwasher and definitely a good value. However they were ultra narrow tips and not easy to install all the way onto the tops of the dishwasher tray upright spokes. All in value a good value though .

The prongs of my dishwasher had begun to protrude from their original rubber casing. It aged it and made it look unsightly. The grey prong covers work fabulously to cover the problem and my dishwasher looks new again. Easy fitted, very secure and a fraction of the cost of a new basket.

Ich bin echt glücklich mit diesen kleinen Schutzkappen für meinen neuen Spülmaschinenkorb. Bei meinem alten Korb waren die Stäbe teilweise verrostet, weil sich die Beschichtung abgelöst hatte. Nicht schön und unappetitlich. Neuer Korb und diese kleinen Schutzkappen in 2 Größen bestellt, drüber gesteckt... perfekt. Sie halten gut, schützen ab jetzt vor Rost. Preis - Leistung völlig in Ordnung.

s'installe facilement sur les paniers du lave vaisselle BEKO dont les éléments mobiles n'ont pas subi le même traitement anticorrosion que les paniers d'où la corrosion. Ce sont donc les parties mobiles des paniers qui sont à protéger.
