Coverage ndash; White The Lutron LOSCIR450WH is a hightech sensor that easily mounts to the ceiling and comes with the ability to cover 450 sq. ft. The infrared sensors can be integrated into the Lutron systems or can stand alone. With a builtin heat sensor, it easily detects changes in heat sensations from the human body that pass by the sensor. In order to turn the system on, the heat source yoursquo;re using must be able to move from a particular range to another for the Lutron LOSCIR450WH to activate. The sensor uses a semiconductor detector that is installed behind the multizone optical lens. Nonmoving objects emitting heat will not cause the system to turn the lights on. With its smart sensor system, the Lutron LOSCIR450WH provides a reliable detection without errors. The builtin microprocessor analyzes the heat detections from the PIR technology, which determine the right setting to use to cover the space. The system easily mounts to the ceiling and is built with the type of high quality Lutron is known for.

Installed it in my garage (LOS-CIR-450-WH, NFTV-WH, PP-120H) to dim and auto-switch 6 Cree fluorescent fixtures which are 0-10V dimmable. Works great so far. I masked off the side of the occupancy sensor facing our water heater to avoid false triggering, but I left the rest of the settings on auto and have had no issues at all. The Nova dimmer works as you'd expect. Be sure to check out Lutron's web site for an app note about using the occupancy sensors with the 0-10V dimmers.I just used butt splices and security system wire for the low voltage stuff.
