Know what you’re buying it for. I own a pool company which is owner operated. I bought this to finish up a job not to do the job. It fits a weird niche where after everything is done and I’ve centered all the dirt with a brush (this means removing all leaves with a net first) saves me having to wrestle with my vac hose and also dealing with main filter. You have a brief window to get a lot out and avoid sending it to the filter.For your 1 pool in the backyard you may be able to do the entire job with it but you’ll have to reel it in, clean the filters and cast it out again probably 5 times. It does not give you enough to clean a ton of stuff. The best way to use it is to net, center dirt with brush, then use this to vac the dirt. This thing is a toy compared to the commercial vacs I’ve worked with but oddly has a serious edge with its portability and sponge thing. The last bit of dirt is all I got it for and it does an excellent job with it. So if you’re looking for a vac that’ll do it all they don’t really exist. Even commercially. Get good with the net and brush, use these little party favors at the end of the job to truly get a clean pool.

*Update* I was using this vacuum on an above ground pool, trying to vacuum from outside on the side of the pool. This is not ideal for above ground pools unless you have a deck above it. When I got on the ladder and used this vacuum it worked significantly better. So for an in ground pool this vacuum would be great. I have added a star back because the 3 stars was for my previous review. Still not ideal for above ground pools unless you are vacuuming from in the pool!The suction on this vacuum is good and will suck up debris from the bottom of the pool. Trying to use the handle outside of the pool though is not great. The vacuum is not heavy enough to hold itself to the bottom of the pool. The head also swivels in way to many directions so when you apply pressure it moves around so much that it's hard to keep on the floor of the pool. Using this vacuum in the pool is best, and I have taken to just using the shorter handle. Otherwise, its easy to clean and charge after use.

Received product promptly and it was exactly as described. I absolutely love this vac. Have only used a few so far, but extremely happy thus far. I have a robotic vaccuum, however, there are just certain places that it does not go in my kidney shaped pool. It used to be such a hassle to hook the hose up to the skimmer, bleed the air out of the hose then finally be ready to vaccuum. Now with this vac, it is so easy. No long hoses to drag out, just turn on switch and vaccuum. So very easy. I am all about faster and easier and this fits the bill. Highly recommend.

Really satisfied, my pool is about 8’x16’ and surrounded by trees. So I’ve always used a Ryobi to clean it but those were discontinued so I purchased this one. To my surprise it has way better suction and picks up fine dirt great, as well as pine needles. This saves cleaning my filter more often highly recommend. The pole is a little short so you may need a longer pole if you have a deep pool.

Took some time getting adjusted to working the vacuum, but once I figured out how to properly get the internal basket seeded it worked great! You will definitely need a longer pole than the one that it comes with, but any pool pole attaches easily.

Powerful little machine...I just tried the new vacuum and I am really impressed.It didn't take long and it did a fine job.I would highly recommend it to anyone with an above ground pool.The price is right and you won't be sorry.

Easily assembled and with a long charge this pool cleaner is literally a dustbuster for your pool.This product, and the customer support, are top notch.It's so easy to keep the pool clean now. Many pool owners have robots and I love mine. But this guy is for spot cleaning in corners, on steps/ledges and places that robots may miss.Customer service is the best that I've seen with quick and efficient replies.Very highly recommend.

This is the best hand vac! We live on an unpaved county road and dust is an issue. We keep a solar blanket on the pool while not using to help keep dust and leaves out but is inevitable. Dust is the worst! This vacuum does an amazing job on the dust and sand. The secondary sponge filter is key. The extension handle could be longer. So glad I found this one!
