Like others have said the lid on this is terrible. It does not seal and slides all over the place. It is not the lid that is in thr pictures. Otherwise it is a nice pot and the strainer works well.

Just wish the lid would lock o to the top. It just floats on top and easily slides off.

We received this as a wedding shower gift. The elegance and look of this container is great, but the lid is horrible. Looking at the pictures on amazon, the lid should have a rubber fitting to hold the lid in place and seal the container. What arrives is a lid that is all ceramic and ther is just a small lip that is far undersized for the lid to stay in place. Very poor quality lid.We will be returning this item to get something that will have a lid that seals the container better. The seller should not be advertising a lid in the pictures that is different than the one that arrives.

The lid doesn’t fit and slides. I keep bacon grease in the refrigerator and the lid would be a real problem just moving the container in & out of the fridge. The lid will certainly slide off and break. The overall container is a bit too large for my purposes, but I would have kept it anyway if the lid was secure & fit.

I love the white ceramic canister. It is big enough to pour drippings into without spilling. It is a pretty addition to the countertop without being obtrusive. I like that it has no "grease" label on it. It looks and feels of high quality. The canister could be used for a number of other things since it is not labelled. It also will fit in the fridge nicely if needed. The ceramic pot has a small groove cut out for the placement of the strainer. Everything fits just right and I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is a nice heavy ceramic container that not only looks nice, it also does a fantastic job of straining and storing bacon grease. This is a larget container that will hold a lot of bacon grease. The included metal strainer fits perfectly into the top of the container. You simple take the lid off and pour your grease into it. The strainer has a fine mesh that catches all the bits. You're left with nothing but the grease. The strainer is easy to clean too. I highly recomend this item.
