I picked this one because the picture showed the metal tube. The one I received was plastic. I installed this in my summer home, so furnace is unused between Nov. and April. When May came after 6 mos this unit was very noisy causing my wife to complain.

Its very quiet and a perfect replacement for my furnace when the original part had a bearing go and squealed like a pig. Easy fix and inexpensive when heat in the winter is mandatory.
