So I wanted a sensor on my shop garage door, so i can see instantly if it is open or closed. I did have to make a mount for it, and it works with my light setup, so cannot complain. Just beware, and it says it, that it is an open circuit, not closed. Don't really make much difference in my use scenario, just know that. For me works perfectly. As good of quality as i ahve seen, and I have seen many over 21 years working in industrial spaces. It is sealed well, but this is chrome plated steel, so humid or wet areas will degrade the chrome over time. the plastic cover for the sensor will be easy to wear out if this is placed where it will make any kind of contact. I was able to get it at 1/16th of an inch away.
