I have used this as a levelling sensor for a custom 3D printer. This required a custom mount as the sensor is quite large but it works perfectly and is very consistent. Would recommend.

Typical inductive proximity sensor. Not problems in use, and seems to produce a consistent result.

Sensor works great, range is accurate. But: the panel nuts that came with it were threaded at an angle, so they don’t tighten up perpendicular to the sensor housing. The threads are also a little big and “sloppy” so combined with the angle, when you try to tighten it up, it’s at an angle and then jumps a thread, so you can’t get it really snug. Threadlocker and “just about tight” is your best hope here.
