I like that this kit includes everything needed.Everything feels well made and you can feel the components are a good quality.The plastic case safely holds everything so nothing knocks around.I feel there are a better option to Helicoils.I would buy this kit again.5 STARS

These are 100% better than coiled style inserts. They provide a permanent fix that is liquid and pressure tight. I'm changing all of my thread repair sets over to this style. Worth every cent.

I ordered this thread repair kit to have in the shop for those annoying stripped thread jobs. I've used Heli-Coils for many decades, and they have been adequate. This style of thread repair insert should give me the ability to use them in situations where the threaded hole intersects a fluid (oil, or water) passage where Heli-Coils more often, than not, tend to leak through the threads due to their design. As opposed to a Heli-Coil, this insert is a solid, threaded cylinder with a collar that is counterbored into the top of the threaded hole.Basically, it is similar to a Time-Sert, and is a quality copy of a Time-Sert, at a lower price. For a fluid application you can easily seal the insert in the threaded hole with Loc-Tite, or sealant of your choice. It comes with the necessary tools to facilitate the install, and the insert installation tool doesn't require breaking off a tab at the bottom of the insert after installation.I give this thread repair kit 5 stars.

These arrived at the perfect time. I had just messed up a project and needed to correct the thread so. This tool was so nice and easy to use. The purpose of the tool is straightforward and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It comes in a nice compact case that is easily opened.All in all, this is a great little group of tools used to correct a messed up thread -- metric.great price & quality tool

I've used my lawnmower for years and I needed recently to secure the engine to the frame the vibration from the motor. The stripped bolt holes have been a really big issue as it's obvious they need to be replaced as it was moving up and down.This thread repair kit was the perfect option to fix this myself. The kit comes with an install driver, drill, tap and a counterbore. Following the directions, I was able to drill out the old threads, counterbore the hole and then tap the hole for the insert to be threaded properly. I had four different stripped bolt holes to fix and it took me a little while as I did each one individually. After I was finished, the motor was securely placed on top and tightened as expected.Additionally, there were enough inserts that I was able to fix my lawnmower and have several left over for other thread repair at the the house that I might need to do in the future. This kit is reasonably priced and comes with all the tools to fix stripped bolt holes.

Although I haven’t used this set yet, I can tell from the quality of the parts that this setup is going to work above and beyond my expectations, I mean the typical helicoil thread repair sets are literally pieces of steel wire that thread into a hole and don’t always fit easily into the tapped hole and then you have to try againBut these inserts are solid and have a good installation tool and all the accessories needed to install the threaded inserts, so I hope I don’t need it anytime soon, but I’m positive based on materials and design that this will do the job much better then basic thread repair tools

This kit is great! I love the variety of sizes that are offered. Materials are solid and seem to be of decent quality. Storage case is really nice as well. Anything that can help keep the workshop clean and organized is a great find. Solid quality materials, great storage, variety of sizes, can work in many applications - very happy with this set.
