Velcro is very strong. Used this a bunch of times and it feels really nice even for a 30" waist.

For the price its a great deal but after only a few uses some of the stitching on the "stretch" belt began to tear. I have a smaller waist so it doesn't really create any problems for me but someone who is larger would most likely run into an issue.

Nice and Comfy. This can fit almost everyone, Unless you're more than obese. The straps that keep the pods in can get tangled though... but that's to be expected.

My kids and I were infected by the Paintball Bug a few weeks ago while playing recreational paintball for the first time. Even within the short recreational games I ran out of ammo twice and I'm pretty good at ammo conservation as a former Infantryman. To outfit us for future matches, I ordered three different harnesses for the kids and I to try out and I liked the Maddog Sports 4-Pod Harness the best. Good snug fit using an adjustable Velcro cummerbund, much like current body armor. There is no excessive bouncing when making a sprint and because it is Velcro/hook and pile, there is no rattling or excessive noise. My son was awarded first pick of the harnesses and chose this one. It fits perfect to his 5 ft tall frame. I'm a bit more...robust in the middle with a 36 inch waist and it fits great. This harness does NOT come with pods, so you will need to purchase those separately (4x140 rd capacity pods). I have not played competitive, so do not know how well this would function under the demands of that environment, but I do not see why it would not work out just fine. In the Texas dust and heat, this is a very good system. Only downside is that it uses Velcro/hook and pile and as most folks know, with enough use, Velcro will wear out (but doesn't everything?). I'm confident that this harness would last several paintball seasons and when needed, you could probably replace the Velcro yourself. But with the relatively cheap price of this harness, it might just be easier to buy a new harness. Good luck and good hunting!
