I have a 4 year old granddaughter who is learning about money. This is perfect for her to put in her little crossbody purse, as she learns the concept of saving and spending. I think it will be easy for her to open and close it, because of it's design. I also like the silicone. This coin purse is a perfect gift for Valentine's day or anytime of the year when you want to show a little love to a dear one in your life.
