Fantastic. Took a bit of a punt on this, as I wasn’t sure what the quality would be like, but it’s really good. Works really well and has actually help me understand how the Swiss Lever escapement works.

My first year old grandson is autistic. He is non verbal at present! Super smart and loves science, but is especially fond of gears! This was just exactly what I was looking for! I can’t wait to give it to him!!

This is not a complete clock, more a model of a simple clock escapement mechanism. It does indeed work, and work well.Maybe because similar products are generally kits, rather than pre-assembled, I was expecting a kit. It is not a kit, it comes fully-assembled. On re-reading the description, true enough, it doesn't say "kit" anywhere.What it is, is a simple working clock escapement. There is no dial, no hands, it doesn't actually tell time. But it is a clever little model, and it's fun to watch it work.
