I have been creating Amigurumi pieces for years but I still love a kit where I can learn a new design and make something new. I love these kits but this one especially. The design is cute, the pattern was easy to use and the box came with everything that I needed. I highly recommend this kit.

The instructions don't make this an easy start for beginners and the yarn separates too easily. I do like the hook and markers it came with though.

I grabbed this kit, so my daughter and I can learn how to do crochet, since it said it was for beginners we watched the videos and got through half of it and was not able to complete the stitches properly. I know this is mostly our fault for not knowing enough about crochet to tackle something like this, but I thought it was for beginners, which is what we are. This kit is for someone who has experience with crochet and instructions with the different crochet stitches. We do have a friend that can help us figure this out and hopefully will eventually want to be able to make the little whales which I think are very cute. But at this time it’s just another craft that we are unable to do.This kit does have quite a few items in all seem very good quality. There’s quite a few different colors of yarn and again since I am a beginner I don’t know if this is the best quality yarn, but it seems like it would work great for this project. The booklet that came with it does have instructions, and we did watch the video and worked on it for a couple hours with no product to show for it. These stitches are definitely harder than I expected. I would recommend this for someone who has done more than just basic crocheting, if you understand magic circle and how to properly do double yarn stitch then this would probably be fun for you. I would not recommend this for beginners, even though it’s in the title of the product.
