I was surprised that for its mini size was very well. We use on our boat and RV for camping. Very good for chicken, hamburgers, pork chops and lean steaks. If you put a ribeye steak, keep the fire hose handy. In general works very well for low fat cooking. I had an older Magma and could never get much heat, this thing works well in that dept. Low is low...and high is high...dont walk away. I was generally quite surprised at this little unit. I purchase on sale in the $160 range. Out of the box the igniter would not work, I just adjusted a bit closer to the flame and all is fine. I would buy again.

Received mine directly from Magma. The back of the grill was improperly assembled (spot welded) so that the back wall was uneven (not flat), resulting in an uneven grill surface as the grill bars mount to the back wall of the lower assembly. Contacted Magma about it and provided photos. Was told they had to have the folks in 'manufacturing' examine my issue ... and then nothing. No response. These are made in China. Hey Magma, when you have things made in China and the Chinese don't make them correctly, don't pass these problems on to your USA customers. Pull the defective ones off the line. Unless of course China is your real customer and the folks here, who buy your products, are simply the 'users' of your product.

Great for 2 people RVing. Sears food very well. Slow cooking might be a challenge w/out venting lid. Bought conversion kid to plug into Rv propane system. Leaving the heavier Weber baby at home. So far, we love Magma products. It’s perfect for us.
