I was prepared for it to be loud and sound a bit “tinny” but, frankly, it goes well beyond and sounds more like an old beater with a broken exhaust. So, I turn the radio up louder - to max volume - so now I’ve got the trashy muffler on the 2007 Tacoma, a screaming radio and a head ache. And a wife (who is writing this) who is not happy.

Great product and sounds great on my 2012 Tacoma. It sounds a lot better than i thought and has a nice deep tone. DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A RICE BURNER! Only issue was the shipper and UPS treated it like a gorilla and part ofnit was bent. It took over 30 min to bend back into shape so I could install it. Basic product, shipping aside... Great!

Bought this kit for my 2007 Tacoma. The quality seems very good and the installation was a snap. However, I ended up removing it and going back to a new OEM exhaust. Be forewarned, this kit is LOUD. I live in Massachusetts and it will potentially not pass the subjective safety inspection. If you live in a State with similar rules, it might be better to consider something else.

The quality of the system is outstanding. Shipping was a reasonable amount of time. The only thing about the system that I wasn't prepared for was how loud it is! This is completely my fault for lack of research for this type of exhaust system. Having the exhaust tip turn down before the rear axle creates a lot more "bounce back" exhaust deflection noise from the ground than I was expecting. This is the result of a combination of the completely free flowing "straight" through muffler and no resonator in the system. I have not had the new system on the truck long enough to verify if there are any actual performance gains pertaining to either more power or increased fuel milage. Unlike most modifications, just because it's louder doesn't mean it's faster! They just will hear you before they see you.

THIS IS NOT FOR A LONG BED! All the research I did on this and I still didn't realize it was for a short bed only. However, i rigged it up for my long bed without adding any extra pipe. (the entire system is 13 inches too short) The cab drone is ridiculous and you can feel it in your teeth. I'm going to get it fully installed by a shop. this is loud! but not for a long bed.....

Fitment is really good, quality is excellent. I put it on a Double Cab Long Bed 4x4 TRD Sport. I had to modify the pipe flange to add a foot or two, but it still looks and sounds great. Has a nice burly sound that doesn't drone at freeway speed. Everyone checks it out but can't find the tip because it is up under the bed. Would highly recommend Magnaflow for any car. I have it on 3 of my rides.

Well after hearing very few things about Magnaflow I decided that the price was right for the purchase of this system. It arrived in record time from Amazon (once again they simply remain on point). The system was very well packed and everything looks great inside of the box. The install was as straight forward as it could get and the instructions were very clear. I bolted everything up and proceeded to test the system. I noticed right off the bat that the coupler that attached to the factory cat flange was looser than I liked. Even after several attempts at adjustment I was unable to make this fit to my standards. Once installed I fired up the truck as was immediately disappointed with the sound that came from my 4.0L V6. Granted this is not a V8 but the system reduced the quality of sound and made the output sound equivalent to a Honda with one of those tin can mufflers. I figured things would sound better inside of the truck but I was completely wrong. With all of this being said I am not sure if the volume/note was due to the poor seal I had with my product or just the sound that Magnaflow produces... Either way it was returned as soon as possible for a refund minus shipping.
