This Magnaflow 76mm catalytic converter just arrived, what a disappointment , where ever theses are made they ether don't have or don't know how to use measuring tools. A pease of standard 76mm exhaust tubing is totally loose inside it, so when you weld it on,( it's miles to loose to clamp on) inside there will be a two mm step all the way round the inside ,and anyone that knows anything about performance exhausts will know steps inside are the last thing you want. On top of that the overall finished of it is so rough, so even if you were ok with the ridiculously poor fit, you wouldn't want to fit it anywhere that it could be seen. I paid. £125 for this thinking the name Magnaflow would mean quality , it did POOR QUALITY, and to think I sent back a much better shiny one that I only paid £ 85 on eBay leaves me gutted, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

This product is advertised as stainless steel but after having it on the car for 6 months now it’s obvious that this isn’t the case. The finish looks nothing like the other stainless components in my exhaust system

I had bought these before on another truck and had a shop weld them on and the catalysts broke. Not the fault of magnaflow though. If you are doing these you need to understand how they operate. You if you install these you have to weld them in the exact location as they were stock. As catalytic converters run at a specific temps.And these will throw a code.This code needs to be pre emotively tuned out as the o2 sensors will think the car has cloged up cats or it will think theres a lean fuel mixture and the car will run a rich to balance fuel back out. But that extra fuel is not fully combusted in the cylinder and it dumps that rich fuel mixture into the exhaust and it ignites as a backfire in the exhaust and it will destroy your brand new cat.Also the o2 sensors need to be in the stock location relative to the cat so they read properly.This time they work fine because i did them right. I have a 400 hp silverado that i am not easy on and the cats hold up fine and do their job exactly 5” downstream from the manifold gasket.

They work good, does take away hp and sound but, i can get an inspection on my vette. Does change gas smell from exhaust with straight pipes and a stage three cam.

I live in Utah, emmisions is required in cache county. I bought one of these to put on my 1995 GMC Sierra 5.7. It passed. Exhuast sounds great. Definently better than stock.

3 inch headers+ MagnaFlow Catalytic Converters + DynoMax Super Turbo + true dual exhaust and they work perfect . Took away the light smoke and the heavy exhaust smell and No noticeable effect on power. Saved the environment.

So far so good i bought this high flow cat to replace an old Flowmaster cat that failed. It arrived fast and installed in 20 mins In my opinion this one makes a better tone out of my exhaust. Will update in a few months.

I've had this installed on my aftermarket exhaust system for over two months now. Of course there were some fumes immediately after install, but they cleared up pretty quick and no more bad exhaust fumes smell. Helps the environment too.
