The upstream flange was misaligned and is causing an exhaust leak on my 2007 Corolla. It was a defect in the converter. That is not the biggest issue. I wrote emails to the company, AltCor group, to attempt to replace it. I would even settle purchasing a new one and getting refunded when I return the defective one. They will not respond at all. I will never purchase anything from this company again. I would not recommend buying this on the chance it's defective and you're out 400 bucks!

I had a mechanic install this on my Aunt's 2003 Pontiac so I don't know if the problem is with the Mechanic or with the part but it doesn't fit exactly. The mechanic said that it was too loose so there is a gap between the existing pipe and this one. This causes a burst of gas to leak out when the gas is pressed which leads to a rough sound. I suggested to him that he at least wrap it with muffler tape to keep the winter ice melt slush from getting inside it but this has not been done so very likely we'll have to replace it again very soon due to expected corrosion. Hopefully by then I'll be able to put it on myself. I just had no good place to work to put this on myself this time. At least the car isn't throwing codes anymore.

I already had a magnaflow catback on my 04 Corolla this cat is about six inches short to meet it. Had to put in a connector pipe and I'm constantly fussing with air leaks.

I bought the Magnaflow 93200 direct fit catalytic converters for my 2003 Pontiac Vibe. Everything was direct fit. the flange bolted easily with a new gasket installed. Only one little problem. When I tried to put the ends of the pipes together to clamp them, the Magnaflow end was too narrow and would not go over the stock pipe. I worked it and wiggled it in for about an hour. Magnaflow should open up the end of the pipe a little more so it can slide easily over the stock pipe.
