My 6 year old loves Minecraft which is why I bought these for him. These blocks look similar to the game, which makes it more fun. The magnetic tiles are great quality and easy for young kids to assemble. The different colors are fun as well.

Great product and has decent amount of pieces. I can confirm these are the same size as the original magnet blocks so good for additional add on

Gooidea mine/video game style foam topper magnetic tile set is nice. I have been teaching Pre-K for over 10 years and have a massive magnetic tile collection including over 100 sets purchased from Amazon. Let's look at this set. First, let's check out the accuracy of the ad itself. This ad shows what can be built with multiple sets. Many companies do that, so always refer to the reviews to see exactly what is included. I consider this an add on/extension set and not stand alone as there are only 42 magnetic tiles to build with and your child will surely need more. These tiles are standard size and fully compatible with your standard size collection. Here is what is in the box:Magnetic Tiles-34 squares4 triangles4 half squaresFoam Toppers-10 grass/soil squares8 rocky squares6 brick squares2 rock/gem squares2 rock/lava squares2 barrel squares2 water squares1 window square1 fireplace square4 rock half squares4 leafy trianglesLet's look at the tiles. The box states 84 pieces which consists of 42 tiles and 42 foam toppers. The tiles themselves come in nice bright shades of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink and clear. Their look is average with walls between the two tile faces giving added structural support against foot traffic. The surfaces of the tiles are fairly flat, not indented, which lend themselves to building decent bump-free roads.I tested magnetism. To test this, I hang a row of squares off a single square to see how many it will hold. My 110+ sets all fall in the range between a weak 5 tiles to a snappy 8 tile line. I consider 6-7 tiles average as the vast majority of name brands will be found in that range. All 3 sets I own from this company have consistently tested in the 6 tile range which is average/slightly below average magnetism. These tiles will work fine with your collection.Let's look at the foam toppers. Let me start by saying; had I read the description more closely, I would not have purchased this set. My own fault here. I thought these tiles had printed tops, not foam toppers. With that said, let's take a look at this product. These foam pieces have good, clear print and a nice variety of Minecraft/video game style pieces to play with. The toppers need precise alignment when building, and even with precision adjusting, these did not build well around inside corners. The foam pieces needed to overlap as I neared the end of the row to fit between the two inside corners as you can see in the pictures. From experience with magnetic road toppers, I avoid toppers completely, opting for the very nice tiles that have the specialty print right on the faces of the tiles. Toppers warp and cup even when stored flat as you can see from the photos. The stack is already cupping right out of the box and already do not stick flat to tile faces. When stored, they also disappear to the bottom of various bins in the classroom just to be bent and chipped from the weight of blocks on top of them. Toppers are just not practical for classroom application in my book.I love magnetic tiles and consider them one of the very best toys in my Pre-K classroom. These are open-ended STEM learning manipulatives that any 3-6 year old child will adore. They are engaging and children never tire of the endless playing options they present. Add some cars, trees, rocks and people to see the play blossom into a whole new realm. These are one of the very few toys that stay out on the shelf the entire year.Magnetic tiles are a sound investment for your child. Always check the reviews and get average/above average magnetism to avoid unnecessary frustration when building. I, personally would not get a topper set. Go right for the tiles that have the mine/video game print right on the surface that are durable and easy to build with. From experience, I know you will be much more satisfied with a purchase of that nature. Ages 3+

They are great! The amount of blocks for the price was great! Came with a manual on how to assemble different things, don’t know about the durability yet! They are the same size of other sets we had.

My boys love all things minecraft, but there are times when I want them off their screens. Getting these magnetic Minecraft-themed tiles for Christmas was a great decision. They're off their screens and using their hands to build something. I love that they are compatible with other building tiles we have, so they can expand their universe and their imaginations.
