I thought it was magnetic. It would not stick to the fridge. I finally realized that the dark bars on the back were magnets, but that the back was bent at a 70 degree angle. I was able to step into it, apply pressure, and eventually bend it into shape. Unfortunately, this bent the other bins.I will say, however, that the magnets are strong! I'm very impressed with them. I like the whole idea. I just wish it didn't come bent.

So, first off, these were very difficult to separate when I removed them from the package. I was concerned, because these type of mesh office storage products always tend to have some random sharp points, but I was eventually able to get them apart by myself. I did take a pair of pliers to press down a spot that I thought might scratch me. I stuck them to a metal cabinet and boy are they hard to move - I mean, I thought they'd slide down pretty easily, but those magnets really keep them in place! I'm not even using them for file folders - I've got them stuck to the metal cabinet next to the door to the garage, and they're super handy for storage, particularly because of the strong magnets. My suggestion with ANY of these types of metal mesh products is to inspect them carefully for any sharp spots and use a pair of pliers or file them down if necessary - I've purchased expensive name brand products made of this type of metal and had to fix a bunch of spots, whereas this product seemed pretty good. Still, check them out, simply out of an abundance of caution.

This rack is great. I'm so happy with it to help organize mail. We hung it up as soon as you walk into our front door so we can put our mail in each slot. There's even an area where you can put a label such as credit card bills/utilities or put each person's name who is living in the home. It was easy to hang, only 2 screws which I used an electric drill for. I definitely recommend this to help keep you organized. The item is excellent quality and sturdy too.

I ended up hanging this with picture frame hooks rather than the fixings it came with, purely out of laziness of not wanting to deal with anchors, but it is holding up very well! I do not plan to put heavy things in here or thick stack of papers so I don't see it will be a problem.The metal is sturdy and nothing is bent. I am happy with it!
