Did I get the wrong push latches? The bodies of what I received are just shy of 4" long, and the pop-out plunger protrudes about 1-13/16" which is nearly two inches. If you haven't already gasped, let me help you get there. When installed and you open a cabinet door by popping it open (a press to open) the pop-out plunger will protrude nearly 2" into the room and out of the cabinet. If you open both doors you'll have two plungers doing this. They stick out so far that, for a typical kitchen cabinet door, they can't hit the tiny included metal strike that you have to mount on the inside of the door. Since the strike is a raised surface, the plunger then bangs into it as the door closes and the whole setup locks up.Having the mechanism go 4" deep into the cabinet seems unnecessarily excessive, too. I can't figure out why anyone would think a gigantic mechanism like this is appropriate for a kitchen cabinet, or why the strike is so tiny given the size of the mechanism.2-stars instead of a single star because this is a well-enough made device. Maybe for a small pop-out barn door, or even for a false section of wall using a number of these latches to hold it place, eliminating the need for handles or other indication the panel will pop out if pressed on. But for a kitchen cabinet? Get the little sandwich magnets you see in grandma's home, they're much smaller and good enough to get the job done (if the door has a handle).I hope my experience has been of help in your buying consideration.

The latches are of good quality and they works well. They are easy to install and came with hardware. When push to open, the latch strikes extend almost 2" out, not very user friendly. They are in the way for an open drawer and shelves, not necessarily sightly. They can be installed on the other side of drawer if possible, then the latch strikes are out of sight and out of the way. Or they can be installed on top of top cabinet doors, not out of sight, but definitely out of the way.

I was impressed by the professional quality of these latches. The look very well made and each item is even stamped with a date and batch code. A detailed illustrated instruction sheet is included. Each latch is individually sealed with all required accessories (stainless screws, strike plate). For some reason, it also includes a white nylon plug but that's not mentioned in the instructions and I cannot tell its' purpose (see picture).Finish is impeccable, no sharp edges or irregularities. Spring tension is good and operation is very smooth. These are the ones to get!

I bought a piece of furniture that came with some of these push push latches and they've been super finicky. These replacements have been working so much better! They're fairly easy to install but I'm also very handy. The included screws worked great too.

Magnet and spring was not the strongest so I did end up returning it. It worked well on the small cabinet doors but not the large ones. One thing i did like was that it was very slim and pushed the door out further than other brands.

I like the low profile and spring strength of this magnetic latch. I have a small discrete door in the living room wall leading to storage under the stairway. The original magnetic closure allowed us to open it without door pull hardware. But our fingers were chipping the paint on the wall. This push latch eliminated that problem.
