Very solid weighted design, no rattling. We found it easy to wipe down and sanitize. Would recommend.

For a while I was using a rather sketchy stirring hotplate for hobbies and crafts before deciding to upgrade. Well, this is a significant upgrade for me. No, it's not laboratory-grade, but it's more than most people need. I found the temperature to be spot-on, and the controls are easy to use and intuitive. All of my glassware fits perfectly, and the stirring magnet is plenty strong even at high heat settings. This is also much more compact than my old hotplate while having a much larger heating surface. It gets to temperature reasonably quickly, and does a great job maintaining that temperature. The timer function is handy, and there are a wide range of stirring speeds that are easily adjustable. The hotplate supports an external temperature sensor for even finer control, should it be needed.Overall a great value and significantly higher-quality and safer than a lot of the low-end junk on the market!

Adjusted to 70, and the plate was 90 degrees. Bad electrical heat burned all my formula that I was using. I wish i would charge the manufacturer of faulty and defective products , but it's Chinese and they sell same design under different name . Be aware of there trick of branding. Garbage

I have a smaller mag hotplate stirrer, but my 5L beaker literally hangs over the sides of it by an inch. it's really only made for ~1L, so I needed something a bit bigger. This fits my 5L beaker PERFECTLY, with room to spare. It does take a while to heat up 5L, but I mean, that's a lot of liquid. So if at all possible, start with warm whatever to save time if you're doing a large volume.I like the fact I can make temperature and RPM adjustments on the fly with this stirrer without having to shut everything down. With my other stirrer, if I want to make any changes (such as reducing the RPM when the liquid level drops too low) I have to shut it down and wait for everything to stop. That's not very convenient when I'm trying to reduce solutions for re-crystallization or something. With this MICROLIT, you just make your adjustments without having to turn things off and wait for them to stop. This makes things SO much easier. My only complaint is the stir bar they include with this is a bit "noisy" (it chatters a bit at certain RPM). My other bars are quieter, so I'll probably just use those. It's not a big deal, and certainly not enough for a star, as you can always replace the stir bar, and most of us have a selection of them already anyway.5 stars for this excellent mag stirrer hotplate. It's a nice upgrade over my old stirrer.

This product works awesome. It heats up fast so it works great for electroplating and stripping old plating's. It stirs good so it electroplates evenly. I would highly recommend it.

So far, my experience with this product has been positive, although I've only owned it for a short while and have used for making cosmetics. One standout feature is its intelligent stirring capability, which adjusts the stirring rate gradually. This contrasts with other models I've encountered, where interruptions can cause the stir bar to fling off into the vessel's corner, necessitating manual readjustment. With this product, I appreciate the convenience of being able to initiate stirring and confidently step away, knowing it will continue reliably until my return, even over extended periods of time. Overall, its a good upgrade from my previous.
