I got this to help pickup or organize metal items such as nails/screws/nuts and bolts and to search for a dropped piece o hardware that has fallen into the sawdust on m shop floor. Only thing I wished is that they had some sort of “hole” to tie a piece of string on, so currently I am working on attaching a stick for a handle on it in case I want to reach out to pick something up

A very strong magnet in a hefty and comfortable to hold form. The included shields are nice to have for when you don't want the magnetism to affect the things around it (like storing it in a metal toolbox). Great for finding screws and nails that have been dropped on carpet (and much less painful than the "walk around barefoot" method).

SLNIHAMS Magnets with Handle, 100 LbI got this for when I drop hardware out in the yard, or one the floor in the garage. It has a pretty strong magnet that makes finding or cleaning up those accidents very easy. I do wish that it had a release mechanism, but it's okay that it doesn't. It appears well made, and as long as it does not get dropped like the hardware, it should hold up fine to at home use.

This is a pretty nice tool. The shield plates do help stop the bulk majority of the field so it doesn't get stuck to stuff. When they're off it becomes a pretty strong magnet and the handle is comfortable, well made, and seems like it should last. The 100lb capacity though isn't really there. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt that it's maybe TECHNICALLY a "100lb pull force" but IN PRACTICE it failed to reliably lift a 1/4" thick steel plate that weighed less than 20 lbs. It was, however, still a nice help in moving said plate. Just couldn't count on it to stay stuck even when just holding it steady.

This magnet cannot pick up a 35 lb cast iron dumbbell from the ground. I do not know where the 100 lb capacity is derived from. I think it may be able to hold better if attached to a vertical surface and then a weight is hung from it. When attached to vertical surfaces, even uneven ones, it seemed to work well. The protective covers work well in masking the magnetism, though are a bit difficult to remove.

The SLNIHAMS MAGNET PICKUP TOOL WITH HANDLE is an industrial-strength magnet that is capable of lifting up to a 100-pound sheet of metal. That’s a strong magnet! Fortunately, they've made this easy to use by putting a handle on it to make it easy to carry and lift with. They have also included 2 cover magnets that keep the magnets from latching onto any random metal it comes near. The cover magnets have ridges on them, making them easy to slide off and on when you want to use the magnet intentionally.I ordered the magnets specifically for help in identifying meteorites. I'm a total rockhound, and some stony meteorites have a very weak magnetic pull. I plan to take this with me on my rock-hunting adventures and use it in the field. I'm a nerd, and I'm really happy with this. It definitely appeals to the science geek in me.

Powerful and compact magnet handle. I use this on my RV underbelly when I'm working on it as a portable handle to assist with moving around. I also use it to pick up heavy objects that do not have a handle. I like this handy magnet and recommend it for all around use.

A nice magnet but it has nowhere near a 100lb pull. I can easily pull it straight up off a non-painted steel plate. The plate weighs less than 50lbs; the magnet will pick it up but you can shake it loose. Nicely built, and the keepers work well but I'm not sure how the plastic handle is attached which is a cause for worry; likewise there is no secure way to attach a rope. Those of you hoping to recover a treasure chest of pirate booty with this will find yourself saying "arrgh".
