Have had it for a couple years, daily use. It runs good no issues. Just clean it from time to time and don’t let it run dry. I have no expectation that this product will last for a decade.

I recently purchased the Optical Sensor AUTO TOP Off (ATO) with Upgraded QST Tech and Smart ETFT, and I must say that it has exceeded my expectations in every way.First and foremost, the Optical Sensor AUTO TOP Off's accuracy is truly remarkable. The upgraded QST (Quick Security Technology) ensures that the water level in my aquarium is maintained precisely. The sensor's responsiveness is good, detecting any drop in the water level and activating the necessary adjustments. I look forward to a significant reduction in manual maintenance since incorporating this ATO system into my setup. The setup process for the Optical Sensor AUTO TOP Off is straightforward and hassle-free, although instructions were not included in the package. The inclusion of all the necessary components and accessories ensures that I didn't have to spend additional time searching for compatible parts. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I had the system up and running. In conclusion, the Optical Sensor AUTO TOP Off with Upgraded QST Tech and Smart ETFT is good. at ensuring optimal water levels in my aquarium without any manual intervention.
I don't expect that much

So for anyone looking for an inexpensive ATO, skip this. This is a rebranded Smart ATO lite, which is no longer found on Amazon because it was absolute garbage. (original model number SATO-260p, new model ATO-360p)Make no mistake, the thing works great. For somewhere between two years and two months. Ordered my first one in April 2021. Lasted almost two years before the eye stopped working. Ordered a new one end of February 2023. It's now May 2023 and I just ordered this device, which I thought was at least a different brand because once again the detector eye stopped functioning.Nope. Identical unit. Same power supply, same cables, same garbage electronic eye. I hate using ATOs with float valves because float valves seem to CONSTANTLY stick and malfunction, but I cannot trust this device for any length of time. Is this thing is still running in two months I'll be sure to report back, but I doubt very much that it will be. Really pisses me off that manufacturers can make a piece of junk, pile up garbage reviews, rebrand and VOILA, same garbage right back on Amazon.Save your money - in the long run you're better off investing in a quality piece of kit, rather than going through three of these junky ATOs in a couple year period.

I installed this on my office IM 40 gallon AIO Fusion reef tank. I was getting tired of adding a pitcher of water to it every day and didn't want to spend a lot of money on an auto top off system. This is a very simple, no frills solution that works well--particularly if you have limited space for a reservoir. The pump is tiny but easily transports water from the cabinet beneath the tank up into the back of the tank. The mounting hardware works well, keeping the hose secured to the back. Installation was straightforward and I had it installed and running in about 10 minutes. I have had it running for a couple of weeks now and so far it has worked very well. I do have a couple of critiques. Unless you have an absolutely wave-free area where you can mount the optical sensor disc you will need to tinker with the sensor until you find the "sweet spot." And if you have to move it after you have it running, you will need to unplug the sensor and then plug it back in--this acts as a sort of a "re-boot." A pause/feeding timeout feature would be handy and might prevent this. The sensor itself has two little pointed projections, one above the other, separated by a low point/trough. When the the water level is in that trough the system shuts off. When the water gets below that trough it turns back on. The sensor seems to need to be placed so that those projections are vertical, not horizontal--so depending on your cord management you may need to get creative so that the cord for the sensor doesn't cause the sensor to turn to a horizontal position. In spite of these minor issues I have given 5 stars, because I still think the manufacturer has done a great job keeping the system small and easy to install.
