Mailbox Mounting Bracket - Reviewed April 2025.I recently tried out this Mailbox Mounting Bracket made of carbon steel, suited for metal gates, railings, and fences in black, and it was quite the experience. I have to say, I really wish it came with instructions. Figuring out where and how to attach it to my railing and mount the mailbox involved some trial and error. I eventually got it hung, but even now, I'm not entirely sure I did it correctly. I guess as long as the mailbox stays in place, it's fine, but only time will tell.On a positive note, the material feels solid, and I'm confident in its durability over time. However, the screws provided are incredibly long. I had initially thought about mounting the mailbox on my security screen door, but the screws were too long and hit the solid door. So, I ended up attaching it to a rail instead. Overall, it's a sturdy product but requires a bit of figuring out during installation.

After USPS tried to bully us and forced us to put a mailbox on the fence within two weeks or we would never receive mail again because they're too lazy to walk 15 feet from the sidewalk to the current mailbox, this came in handy. Easy to install and we put thread locker as extra security against the wing nuts/screws coming loose.
