Perfect hard-boiled egg slicer. I have used it and run it through the top rack of the dishwasher at least 10 times since I purchased it a month ago. Does the job and still looks like new. Great value.

Was quite happy with the unit. Very sturdy feeling. Hinge is very sturdy. The wires for cutting are actually wire! Is also a good size that is very easy to handle. Cleans up well alsoRecommend this item.

I wanted a nice, stainless model but decided to save a little and get this one. Glad I did! It works great, seems durable, is super easy to clean, and the eggs are sliced perfectly!

Sturdy egg slicer. It does what it’s supposed to do, it’s not as smooth slicing as others I’ve used, but it sliced very well. Good price, good functionality. I do like how the wire ends are enclosed. Should last for awhile.

I’ve been through I don’t know how many egg slicers in my life because I love egg salad (Or if you’re British, egg & olive). Yes I put green olives in my egg salad and don’t knock it until you try it. So anyway, even the very most expensive ones will not cut the green olive.My old stainless steel was getting pitted, so I decided to replace it but this time I wasn’t gonna spend much. The mainstay was the cheapest one with good ratings so I went for it. And by gosh, IT CUTS OLIVES TOO!!And of course it does a great job on eggs and you can put the eggs both ways so you can get your egg into small pieces instead of just sliced. It says hand wash, and I’m totally fine with that since it actually works well.

Our old egg slicer was with us for at least 20 years. Unfortunately, it finally wore out, so we had to get a new one. A lot has changed in 20 years: the price has sky-rocketed, the quality has plunged. This all-plastic model says it is not to be washed in the dishwasher and hand washing is a true pain since egg white manages to stick in the slots and ain't easy to remove. Doubt this one will last anywhere near 20 years, but do know that we'll want to pick one out in person next time and not rely on reviews.

I love egg salad. My family loves egg salad. But I HATE making it because mashing a bunch of rubbery hard boiled eggs is a pain in the butt. Instead, I use an egg slicer. I put an egg in and slice, then - holding it all together - spin it 90 degrees and slice once more. It makes long shreds that are super easy to throw into a bowl and mash to make egg salad.I had a high end brand slicer that decided it didn't like my experiment to slice non-egg items and see what happened. It totally broke and so I figured I'd be a much less expensive one since I'm just slicing soft eggs here - but I was hesitant since this one was much cheaper and I thought maybe the metal strings would be flappy or wimpy. Nope! Just as good! And cleans up nice in the dishwasher so far without rusting or anything else inconvenient. Great purchase!
