I had an older one and it was hard to tell what slot was the source drive and what was the target when cloning the drive. This one clearly marks it on top. Inexpensive but works great.

Frequently disconnects by itself, especially during data transfers, rendering its purpose useless. I ensure drives stay cool by placing an 80mm USB fan near them. Crystal Disk Info reports the drives stay under 35C, so I know it's not heat related.From experience, I think it's chipset related, as I have had other budget USB enclosures and docks with cheap chipsets which behaved the same way, and my research pointed to the chipsets in those products. I also bought an Orico dock (4 slot) at the same time as this dock since I've had good experiences with Orico products in the past, and it doesn't disconnect while using the same connection chain, so I know it's not my setup causing the issue.I was hoping to save some money with this Maiwo dock, but with the disconnection issue, I'll be returning it and keeping the Orico.Link to Orico dock: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ2FGXY9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

I had two WD MyBook External drives with broken enclosure SATA adapter but the hard disks were okay. I decided to buy this and use them like that. The installation was so easy. The weight of the HDDs are enough to put them in. You don't need to push hard. Make sure the power button behind the deck is off when you connect everything. No drivers needed. The speed was decent over 200MB/s in windows 11 on my Minisforum Intel Iltra 125H with 64GB memory and 2TB NVME ssd. I did not use the clone function yet.

I have done hard drive cloning before but it was always a tremendous PITA. Maybe it's me? If you are in need of transfering your system especially if going from an old hard drive (spinning disk) to a SS drive, this is the tool you need. No BS, it works the first time. No having to buy someone else's software that they advertise as free. Took about 2 hrs for a 1TB drive. 100% satisfied. Afterwards, you can use it as an external drive setup if you want. Easily the best little item like this I've purchased in years!
