The spools are much smaller. It's not the regular size spools. What I was most frustrated and dissatisfied with was the POOR quality. These threads break so easily that it made it impossible to sew. I returned them!

Se rompen con facilidad, no son hilos para bordar, tengo que poner en la aguja 6 hilos para engrosarlo. No sirven

Mistakes were made.I bought this to add a little sparkle to a knitting project I'm working on. It is now clear to me that it is absolutely not intended for or appropriate for that purpose. I thought I could maybe still accent some embroidery projects with it if it didn't work for my knitting, but I have significant doubts that it's going to work any better for that since I don't have an embroidery machine and do all my work by hand.My observations:1- I expected a heavier/thicker thread. This may be even thinner than regular sewing thread.2- while I struggled to find the end to remove it from the spool, the middle started looping itself off, creating a sparkly, tangled mess. I finally shoved the spool halfway into a film canister (like old style camera film comes in) just to try to prevent further mess. This seems to be helping, but would definitely not work with a machine.3- The thread is constantly twisting around itself as I work. It definitely needs a more consistent tension than what I am creating by hand. A machine might do ok with that once you get past observation #2.
