EXCELLENT starter set with quality, name-brand Japanese made pen and ink supplies. If you want to get started with pen and ink, this is the kit to buy- deleter ink is excellent. the nib holders are great quality, and the nibs are pretty much the most widely used for drawing, sketching, or doing some experimental lettering with ink.

I don't know how I feel about this set for manga drawing but I'm really impressed with the quality and thoughtfulness packed into this kit. The pen holder feels sturdy in the hand, and the rubber grip makes long sessions surprisingly comfortable. I love that it comes with a safety cap - a small but smart detail that protects both me and the nibs. The black ink is incredibly rich and dries fast. it gives a bold matte finish that feels super professional. The white ink is just as impressive. Plus, I appreciate that you can dilute it with water if it thickens, which makes the bottle last longer. I'm still learning pressure control, but the variation they offer is amazing. This is an excellent set that is beginner-friendly. Totally worth it whether it is for yourself or as a gift.

Love this set. The deleter ink (both the black & white) are soooo good. Very pigmented and smooth. You can even add a little water for more of a wash or less opacity (while it’s wet). The black sets really well, and I like using it with other medium like markers, etc. The nib holders are nice and comfortable to use, and you get two in this set, which is perfect since you also get two different nibs (Maru & G). You can have one of each without needing to switch out the nibs - convenient. Wonderful set and LOTS of ink.

These pens are amazing! I’ve always wanted to try this style of pens but they’re usually very expensive and never bit the bullet! Normally you would only get 1 pen and 1 nib at this price for reference so this is an amazing deal! As a primarily watercolor artist who dabbles in mixed media these have been so much fun to play with! I have used them the traditional way with ink but also with watercolor, liquid watercolor, and texture products! I would give it 10 stars if I could, the options are endless and everything is well made and high quality!

This is a very nice set. There are a good amount of tips for both holders so that you can use them till they wear out or your cat pounces on you when you're drawing and causes you to bend it (like happened to me). It came with 2 pots of black and one of white inks. I like this type of pen where you dip in the ink and use it. it feels more controlled than some with the cartridges that work or not for no seeming reason.

This is a really nice set of tools to get started in dip, pen drawing or manga inking. The nibs, handles and ink are all good quality, and the selection of items covers all the bases you need when you were learning to use dip pens. Oftentimes, “get started” kits use very basic materials, but everything in this set is suitable for artist use. The choice of the two style nibs is perfect for being able to achieve a wide range of ink expression.Everything about the kit is perfect. You have two handles so you can keep one of each size nib set up ready for use. The handles have caps which post neatly on the end of the handle went in use and after you clean your nib and cover it with the cap there are ventilation holes so that you don’t have to worry about traces of retained moisture rusting out your nibs. The only slight negative is that I find the consistency of the white ink a little thick, but that’s normal for white inks and I’m used to thinning them when I use them anyway.This is a really good and affordable and complete kit to get started with dip and drawing and I recommend it highly.
