I ordered this grinder to use for grinding seeds rather than coffee beans. My wife likes to make Cardamom Cookies for the family at Christmas. This year she was not able to find the seeds finely ground for her baking and we had to get whole seeds and crush them by hand which resulted in very inconsistent size results. The grinder did a very good job of breaking down the whole seeds into consistently small pieces better suited for cookies. I have no doubt it would do a fine job with coffee beans as well.

I really enjoy freshly-ground coffee, but when I'm camping during the summer, I don't always have access to electricity, so I've had to pre-grind sufficient coffee beans to last me through my camping trips. Not any more! When I received this coffee grinder, I was really surprised by the quality of the packaging as well as the quality of the grinder. Some products show up in a flimsy unbranded box with no padding, but this grinder arrived in a very nice box that has a foam insert that is cut out for the individual pieces of the grinder. Excellent presentation. The grinder itself is a thing of beauty! It weighs around 1 pound, so its got some heft. The body of the grinder is anodized aluminum, and is perfectly finished and a pleasure to hold. There is a small cup that screws onto the base of the grinder to collect the grounds, and it features a textured rubber pad on the bottom, so the whole grinder sits very securely on the counter, with no chance of sliding around. The grinding handle has a chrome plated shaft (or maybe stainless steel) with a generously sized, nicely finished wood handle on the end.The operating shaft that's attached to the conical burr grinding assembly spins effortlessly, so it's apparently rotating on some good quality bearings. The coarseness of the grind is adjusted by twisting a screw on the bottom of the grinder. It's nicely labeled so you can easily see which way to twist the screw to adjust the grind. In use, the grinder produces a very consistent grind. It does take some time to grind the coffee! I guess this is to be expected, but the end results are well worth it!Overall, I'm thrilled with this grinder. I couldn't find a single thing that I didn't like about it. Very solid 5 star product, and highly recommended!

The style of this coffee grinder is very attractive; setting the grind texture is very easy; the amount the coffee grinds is perfect for a 10 oz moka pot. While the grinder mechanism is effective, I find the length of the arm a bit awkward (perhaps too long) for a consistent, smooth grind. Overall, I am pleased with the grinder except for the length of the arm (compared to other grinders with a shorter arm). I have tried it several times, setting on the counter while grinder was not comfortable; holding it seems to work best. The grinder is easy to clean, easy to fill. High quality parts and craftsmanship.

I have a few other hand grinders and they all perform OK, but this one really impressed me. The outer body is finished with a surface texture that feels great in the hands and looks attractive too. While unscrewing you can feel the quality of the machining and overall solid weight of the grinder. The handles wooden knob is lg emough to get a good grip on and rotates very smoothly. The grinder was able to give me a nice medium grind for my French press as well as grinding fine enough to use with my espresso machine. The included brush let's you easily clean out left over grounds and although plastic, looks nice as a set. This is now my go to grinder and would recommend it to anyone in search of a quality hand grinder.

This grinder is aesthetically beautiful with a fancy finish that's not quite black with shimmer and an upgraded, sleek wooden handle. It handled the beans well and have me nice, consistent size grounds. It was easy enough to adjust, counting the exact clicks to get to the property setting. Once it's set, I didn't have to worry about accidentally messing it up because it was protected by the cup. The bottom of the cup has a nice non-slip rubber or silicone surface. My only real complaint with this grinder is the top piece. After grinding, I can hardly get the top off. It feels like it wedges on tighter during grinding. The handle is also long and heavy enough at the end to keep this grinder upright. It keeps tipping over because the handle length or weight makes it too top-heavy.

In a world where everything is automatic, sometimes you need to take a step back and use good ol’ manual labor. What happens when the power is out, or you can’t find batteries? Well, that’s where something like this is extremely handy! We endure several storms a year (spring through fall is thunderstorms, winter brings its own fury). So, it’s nice to be able to have coffee under all conditions! This grinder is extremely well built and solid in the hands. It is easy to use, grinding the beans into whatever usable size you want. Dump your grinds, clean up, get ready for the next round. Fantastic!Yes, I’d recommend this to anyone!

This is a well built grinder. It is very easy to use, just slip the handle off, put in beans and grind. The bottom has an adjustment for coarseness and the handle is long so it doesn't take much effort to turn and grind. It is small. The actual chamber where beans load is only about 3" deep. So if you just want to make a small batch then this works great. The consistency of the grind was spot on. Besides small, the only other observation I made is it won't stand up by itself with the handle attached. The handle is long and makes it so it won't stay upright. So if you need a small grinder for a quick fix, this is great. If you want to grind a lot of coffee, maybe not. I hope this was helpful.
