I purchased this hand grinder a few weeks ago along with an Aeropress. The grinder has worked fine to produce a pretty fine coffee grind. It works well in most any case. Being a manual grinder, it does take time to grind the 18-22 grams of beans I grind, but it is a nice break from the day when I make my afternoon espresso. The only problem I have had with this grinder, and it still works pretty flawlessly, but the handle has separated from the cap of the grinder. (Not the wooden knob, but the metal arm) It looks like it was meant to be fused into the black cap in some way, but that is come loose and separated. I can still use it to grind the coffee, it will just sometimes slip out when I stop grinding, and in some cases falls out and onto the floor if I am not careful. I'm sure a dab of CA glue or some other metal bonding glue will fix this issue, but I expected to get more than 20 cups of coffee out of the grinder before the handle disconnected.

This thing is built solid. It's made of all metal and feels pretty heavy in the hand. It does a good job of grinding and I was able to grind through an entire bag in about 20 minutes, although I had to stop to empty the catcher pretty often as it's fairly small. I wasn't getting anything on the fine settings and had to crank it over to course a good bit to start getting anything through, but it still came out the right size for me so that's good. My only real complaint is the knob on the end is not secured with anything and I kept slipping off the handle mid grind. Otherwise this works great. The included case and accessories are a nice plus but I don't see myself taking this with me very often as it's not very compact. It's probably easier to just grind the coffee before hand and take it in a container.

I recently bought the AugWey Manual Coffee Grinder Set for my brother-in-law's birthday, and let me tell you, he loved it! This set has everything you need to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee anytime, anywhere.First of all, I was impressed with the quality of the materials. The grinder, coffee kettle, cup, and bean bottle are all made of durable aluminum, and the coffee grinder hand crank is made of sturdy aluminum alloy. It feels solid and well-made, not like those cheaply made grinders you find at the store. The set also comes with a brush and disposable coffee filter papers, making it super convenient to clean and maintain. The compact design allows for easy removal of the parts, without the need for any tools. Just use the included brush or air blower to get rid of any leftover coffee grounds. It couldn't be easier! What I really love about this coffee grinder set is the adjustable grinding degree. With the built-in grinding degree adjustment knob, you can easily customize your coffee taste. Turn it clockwise for a fine grind or counterclockwise for a coarse grind. It's perfect for those who like to experiment with different brewing methods and coffee flavors. The 440 stainless steel burr is another great feature of this coffee grinder. It allows for quick cutting of the coffee beans, while the three-bearing center axis positioning ensures precise and uniform grinding. Plus, it helps to avoid overheating the beans, which keeps the flavor intact. The design of this set is also worth mentioning. The roman column design on the aluminum shell adds a touch of elegance, and the non-slip silicone mat at the bottom keeps the grinder in place while you're using it. It's perfect for people like my brother-in-law who enjoy camping and hiking trips. He can now have a great cup of coffee even in the great outdoors!Overall, I highly recommend the AugWey Manual Coffee Grinder Set. It's a great gift for any coffee lover, and the quality and functionality are top-notch. Trust me, your loved ones will thank you for it!

Very nice addition to our coffee cubby - AND will be great for travel, too. This coffee grinder was billed as a camping grinder and I can see how that would be a great use for it - if you camp regularly. It would fit easily into a person's backpack, RV, or camping gear and is easy to put together for morning use to have fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee. As we don't camp, I looked to this for travel and every day use. For travel, the compact design is great for a suitcase or carry on bag - it is just a bit larger than my Yukon 20 oz thermal tumbler, but no where near the size of my 32 oz morning coffee thermal mug. We buy both pre-ground coffees for hurried days, and whole bean for slower days. We WERE using a smoothie blender to grinder the whole bean which heated the beans up a bit destroying some of the flavor. THIS hand grinder, no matter how fast we turn it, does not heat up the beans at all. The freshly ground coffee produces a DELICIOUS pot (we use an 8 cup stove top percolator) every time.It comes with a handy scoop that actually has a BRUSH on the other end! This is great for cleaning out the grinder if we are going to be putting it up for more than a day or two. ESPECIALLY handy if the only time you use the grinder is for camping or travel. The sturdy storage bag is VERY nicely made - all the stitching is well done, and the zipper is nicely fit. I will say, if i leave the knob on the grinding handle, it is a tight fit, so I have to take the knob off every time I put it away. And the only thing I find very difficult is removing the handle piece and top from the grinder to store it. It is NOT easy to remove - which actually is a good thing when it comes to grinding. The tight fit means it won't accidentally dislodge and throw your coffee beans all over the kitchen or camp site!I included a photo of the different "grinds" you can accomplish easily by just following the instructions very carefully - and whatever you do, DO NOT go too far the wrong direction while adjusting the grind! I had my clockwise and counter clockwise a bit mixed up and the interior spring went shooting across the kitchen! Do NOT repeat my mistake! It is a challenge to put back together - easy, but it takes a bit to get the spring back in properly. If you notice in my photo of the different grinds, I put how many clicks FROM THE START POINT. HOPING this will help. I personally like the espresso grind or just a touch larger for all my coffee needs. It brings a nice dark flavor to even decaf. Sometimes I have even been known to regrind my preground for that fine ground espresso bean flavor.Almost forgot: PERFECT for right or left handed people. As long as you remember the grinding only takes place in the clockwise spin. Nothing happens counter closkwise. But my wife is not left handed, and yet she found it easy testing both hands. It takes less than 3 minutes of hand grinding to get the amount of grounds we like for a 8 cup percolator full of delicious, fresh coffee. LOVE this one....and expect it to get a lot of use!Note: Read one suggestion to use this for grinding black pepper but the included directions specifically state ONLY to grind coffee in this grinder.
