No problems with mine, works perfectly & very smooth. It's at it's limit with 1"x1/4" stock (as rated) but will handle the job if you can keep the vise from rotating. 1"x1/8" bends effortlessly.

Bent 3/16”x1” hot roll flat well. Had to ream the hole out some and grind the end of the down pin down so it could be assembled. Simple enough but could not be assembled as shipped. Will work well enough for some small projects but definitely not in the same class as others…. But you get what you pay for. All in all for small craft projects and brackets it should work as designed. And at less than half price of others.

There seemed to be a quality control issue with the one I purchased. The hole in the handle was too small to fit over the steel dowel pins. I had to take a 15/32" drill bit and enlarge the hole. A 1/2" drill bit was too small and a 9/16" seemed too large.

I found this bender after seeing some ads for a much more expensive version. This does the same job but it’s affordable. Wish I had this a long time ago!

it's a solid tool made with thick steel materials, bends 8 mm steel round bar well and 25 x 5 mm steel flat bar as well so far. the only negative is the plastic sleeve on the handle is loose and will come off, but I think it is still a good tool.
