The body of the mold is made of die cast aluminum, a solid food-safe material which guarantee a clean cut of the pasta sheet. The rolling pin supplied is made of solid wood. The wood has been specifically selected to be more compact and ensure durability over time. Create sheets of pasta either by hand or with a Marcato Pasta Machine to lay over the Ravioli Mold. I got this for my nephew for Christmas. He was so excited! He immediately went and bought stuff to make ravioli’s and made them! Which were yummy. They did stick initially to the product- he mentioned to use flour to keep from sticking. He obviously tries again and was successful!

Nice construction but 1" is much smaller than fresh ravioli you buy at the store. One batch would only feed two people (unless you're feeding toddlers).

I didn't notice from the product specifications just how small these raviolis are. I generally hand make pretty large raviolis so when I received it, I must admit they are quite small. I wish they had a larger size mold, I would trade it.

I wish I would’ve read the description better. Says 1” square. That’s including the outside edge. I was pretty disappointed when I got it. Quality is great and I’m sure I’ll attempt to use this tiny ravioli press.
