Getting this set, I was super excited about and thought my boys would love the space theme. For the most part, this set delivers and they have created a magnificent world here with their own graphic novel included. Very cool. It made me go down the candylab toys rabbit hold a bit to find out more about this brand.I learned this was originally a kickstarter project, which explains some of the creativity and the well executed theme.The vehicles, crates, roads and space jet are all great.The set does have one killer problem which is a bummer. The space jet is supposed to be able to pick up the crates using magnets and the magnets are just not strong enough and the crates fall off. My son immediately figured this out and was disappointed as well.Im not sure whats going on with this set at this point and it look like maybe it was discontinued, but boy, this project had a massive amount of potential, and I would really like to support it and candylabs, but like a lot of new companies, they have some bugs to work out and i hope they keep at it.

I absolutely love this set. I think I love it more than my son. Its such an expensive set but what's inside is so cool. Everything is wooden as is typical for Candylab vehicles. They're high quality and really really well made. Its almost criminal playing with them as they should be showpieces or something to display rather than played with. We own a few of their cars but this SPACE set really raises the bar. Think about Mars exploration in the future...this is exactly what this set portrays.Perfect for my little guy as he's currently in his space kick. The set really opened up his imagination play and got his asking questions about our red planet. I find myself posing these cars in a scene more often on my desk then him playing. I might just honestly claim this as my own toy to be honest, who are we kidding.

Its a nice set but way over priced. They are nice and well made and seem durable. Its bigger than I thought it would be. Would be a nice gift to a child

This set absolutely blew me away. I’m often disappointed when an expensive toy set comes with lackluster packaging, but that’s not the case here. If you’re spending this kind of money, especially for a gift, you want the presentation to match the price tag—and this set delivers. From the moment your child opens it, they’ll know it’s something truly special.The set includes an AV-Dozzie with a magnetic bulldozer blade, an MBT with a suspension base, the M.R. Tanker, and six magnetic fuel cells. It’s an imaginative, well-made space-themed set that my son absolutely loves.However, I do have a couple of suggestions. The road that comes with the set is made of paper, which, while not flimsy, isn’t indestructible either. I understand that the brand prides itself on using nontoxic materials, which rules out rubber, but I feel that a wooden road would have been a better choice, especially considering the nearly $100 price tag. I would’ve gladly paid more for a durable wooden road, and it would be great if additional road pieces were available for purchase.Overall, this space set is out of this world—fun, imaginative, and well-crafted. Despite my wish for a more durable road, it’s a fantastic toy that my son enjoys immensely.

I really love this set. I picked it up as a gift for our close friends' kiddo for his birthday and I'm very much considering just keeping it for myself instead. This is really beautiful and lovingly crafted and it's quite a bit bigger and more substantial than I expected. The pieces feel really good and they even have like a suspension so that they feel more real. I love the whole concept of the Mars exploration set. It's a really great way to infuse a toy with some curiosity about the solar system/cosmos. Really wonderful toy!

This set is beautifully crafted from wood and looks amazing. Great attention to detail was put into this totally original design,from the vehicles to the maps and even the comic book. This set is designed to get the imagination working. It is a little pricey for younger kids but I think it's a great product for sure.

This M.A.R.G.E. wooden playset by Candylab Toys is awesome! M. A.R.G.E. stands for Mars Agency for Research & Geographical Exploration, and all the vehicles included help in fulfilling that mission. There's the XB Shuttle, the Emma-2 radar array, some X2 container units, and ATP X4 containers and towing trailer. All of the vehicles and containers are made of solid beech wood and have diecast suspensions that allows for dynamic and fast movement. Also included is a runway/launch pad and the Rogue Echoes comic book (1 of a 4-part original series). The playset has a lot to offer and is of fantastic quality. The details in the chassis and paint and the choice of material (wood) to me is quite impressive and reminds me of making soapbox derby cars to race in my childhood. I think Candylab Toys does an amazing job with their wooden vehicles and it's easy to see the thought and care they put into each piece. At $98.00 (at time of review) this is definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for. What you pay for is a superb-quality wooden vehicle playset that also includes an original comic and more. As others have stated the runway is a paper material which is appreciated for sustainability but at the high price point some type of thing interlocking wooden strips would have been a better option. Overall though this is an absolutely amazing playset. My nephew (and a lot of the adults) loved it. 5 stars!
