This part is designed to be triggered by heat and not amps. It didn’t work under the hood of my Ford 250. I went with a fuse and shut off switch for the DC to DC charger I installed.

Corroded and fell apart after a little over a year. Supposed to be marine grade…more like joke grade. Only moisture it was subject to was humidity

Fasntastic item which is waterproof as well as mounting in tight places. Used this on my ATV Honda Rubicon and hooked it up to my 2500lb. winch which I can also use as a manual circuit breaker to keep inquisitive grandchildren from playing with the winch rocker switch, and draining my battery. Another great feature with this power circuit breaker is that it flips off the power to winch when you overload winch therefore, preventing burning out your winch. Great product

The only bad thing I can say about these is the Allen wrench size to tighten the wires inside of it does not fit well. I tried standard and metric neither seemed to fit well.

I used this breaker on a trolling motor with 8 gauge wiring. Minnkota 55lb thrust is the model. Works as the on off switch too snd is easy to use.

I installed four of these reset breakers for my downriggers a lot simpler than trying to replace a fuse when you get hung up on the bottom. These breakers are well suited to the marine environment.
