It is sturdy and makes the job of removing the trim cap a breeze. Worth every penny. Fits the larger cap.

This tool is made specifically and also required to remove the end caps seals of your hydraulic boat's steering ram. But it's so well made, rounded edges with a chrome finish quality, akin of Snap On tools! Also, the pins can be removed and fitted with different diameter pins. This means your could possibly use it to remove the end caps of more than one brand of hydraulic steering? Great quality and a tool that will last you a lifetime!

Useless tool. This thing destroyed the tilt cap on my motor so I had to pay for a marine mechanic to change the seals and then pay for a replacement tilt cap. To top it off, I got a FedEx bill for $46 even though I paid $80 in shipping. Unbelievable

I have a Uflex hydraulic steering on my boat. The seals were leaking. I had to take the unit off. If it’s the original factory with the two holes in the end cap in it, the tool won’t work(was afraid to break). You have to put it in a vice and take it off with 2 ft. Pipe wrench and it is very hard to do, I would do it with two people so that the person can see the other side of the unit and that you’re not biting into it.But this tool is so helpful, putting on the new Endcaps, because it requires 132 foot pounds of torque. Requires a lot of strength. Like I said, the two were great, and it is made of quality. Worth every penny. The boat yard wanted $1200. I fixed it for 250.

Fast delivery and a very solid, well made tool. And it is made in America. The thick casting has the beef to tak the orque required to break the seal on hydraulic seals. I had to use a 3 foot cheater bar on one connection and never doubted this tool would hold up. omes with extra pins thst can be swapped out for 5 or 6 mm holes.
